I thought Flicka was very good. It is more of a girly movie.

Its a good thing that I decided to go to the afternoon 3.50 a ticket Matinee. Im not going to waste my time, and yours,by writing a long drawn out bad review. I will say however, that Tim McGraw should stick to singing. George Straight tried his hand at acting back in 1992. You havent seen him in a lead role since. Flicka, makes for a nice warm fuzzy, but thats all it does. The 3.50 I spent to see this crud, could have bought me a meal at Mcdonalds. The Movie-Man

I have an 8 year old daughter who loves horses and my girlfriend rides horses for a living so I got roped into this. I didnt expect much from the movie, but I was so wrong. I left the theater crying a bit and looked around to see the same on young and old. The only reason I didnt cry more was that I knew I would have to walk out of the theater and makeup doesnt hold up well to tears most times. i didnt expect much. But I guess I saw a lot in the characters that others missed. While I KNEW that Tim McGraws performance would be panned as stiff, anyone who KNOWS someone just like this also knows that they are stiff. They dont show emotion. They hide every bit behind some brave face. You never really know if they even give a damn about you or anything else. There is no passion or drive visible, yet its there. I have an uncle just like this. The my way or else and stoic pride that keeps people from ever really caring. And when Tim McGraw and his wife were riding up in the mountains and talking of the past and you finally saw a little crack in the wall. And its about all that does show in people like this. They are a hard sort to watch. A hard sort to care for.But to me, if Tim McGraw had played the character any differently than he did, I dont think Id have believed the story as much. I guess it takes knowing someone like that to know that it couldnt have been done any other way. The story itself made me cry though.a girl who wanted something so bad she would do anything. It pained me to see her go back again and again to work with the horse even when she was hurt... But she never gave up. And I guess this reminded me too much of my own girlfriend. Sometimes it takes all of that to get what you want I guess. And as the horse who caused the pain, I know that side too. Trust is a funny thing. it was probably the best movie I saw all year.

This movie was good as a fictional story. I laughed cried. The acting of all was great. Tim is a great singer on the way to becoming a great actor. I would recommend this movie but just remember this is a work of fiction. Wild horses do not just look at one person stop acting like a wild horse anyone with any common sense will understand that. But the setting of Wyoming is utterly breathtaking a great movie for the entire family especially the kids who love horses.

I took my two grand daughters to see this move with me and we all three cried, both sad and happy tears. It was a great movie, that we all three agreed that we would see again. Tim did a fantastic job, his talent and Faiths continues to amaze me. I do not believe that there is a more in love couple in the world. Two beautiful and talented people, that stay true to one another and their fans. And, Tim thank you for staying true to Faith, for no on the lips kissing with your on screen wife. A movie does not need to have love making to make it a good movie. This movie proves it and I am glad to be able to take my two grand kids to a nice clean and entertaining movie, that all three of us could enjoy. Thank you Tim for making a movie that we all can see and that you can be proud of making. This movie kept me entertained at all times. Maybe some of the scenes were not believable to some, but we enjoyed the whole movie and give it five stars. Cannot wait for Tims next film, we will be there to see it and will buy this movie!

This was a great movie! I had been waiting for months for the movie to be released! Tim McGraw, Alison Lohman and all the actors were awesome. This was a great modern version of a classic. The only part that did not make sense to me is why they opened the gate at the end of the wild horse race so they could run out. Otherwise it was great!

The movie was based on a sweet story. Tim is gorgeous, Alison Lohman was sweet. The horses and ... ohhhh my gawddd the Wyoming scenery was gorgeous (Wyoming, Ill be paying you a visit next summer!!) The horses were beautiful. The script was lacking. It seemed disjointed and seemed to drag many times. The big argument by the horse trailer looked fake. Oh, and injured wild horses?? Like any injured wild animal - will not follow on a lead hopelessly. But its a nice thought. Tim, dont give up acting!! Youll find a script and a director who will do your work justice ...and keep the music coming! Yours and your wifes amazing talent melts my cold northern yankee heart!

My family went to see Flicka on opening night. My husband had no choice, he wanted me happy. We really liked it. The scenery was so beautiful. As was Tim. Or as I call him , My Timmy. It was so great to see a movie and not have to cover my childs ears or eyes. Way to go!!!! Even though my husband had to go, he liked it to.

Hey bud and horse. You two are idiots! I only say that because while you claim you like the movie because you love horses, you missed the fact that they killed two during the making of the movie.

While this movie was better than the original, it still drives me crazy to watch any film that is so completely inaccurate about horses. Good heavens.....a ranch raised girl who is supposed to be able to ride, doing totally stupid stuff and falling off every five minutes for no apparent reason? Any halfway decent rider wouldnt have fallen off a horse doing the little things that horse did. And horses dont react the way the horses were trained to act in this movie. That took the credibility right out of the film for me. The acting was decent, the story had potential and the scenery was spectacular, but the whole thing was so totally lame from a equestrian perspective that if I hadnt been there with a friend, Id have walked out after the first half hour. Making people think that a feral horse is going to react to a human like that is why people get hurt around horses. If youre a person who doesnt know much about horses and wants to romanticize them, youll like this film. If, on the other hand, youre someone who knows and works with horses seriously, youll cringe most of the way through it at the inaccuracy and stupidity of it.

I cant believe the critics didnt like this movie! Goes to show you what they know. Most of the time if the critics hate it...I love it. This movie was great! The scenery was gorgeous and the actors were wonderful (especially sexy Tim). It was as good as Dreamer. It is a great movie for all ages and genders. Go see it...you wont be disappointed...unless you are a stupid critic that only likes the weird movies!!!

I simply loved the movie. Of course it was my love for Tim McGraw that drove me to the theater, I was totally memorized with the movie. A perfect family man and you could tell he threw his heart and emotions into the story. Tim, you not only can sing - but your a wonderful actor. Your on your way to more bigger and better things. The only part that was hard to watch was when he had to kiss his movie wife, Maria Bello. Im sure it had to be hard for him. Best of luck to Tim and all the cast of this movie. Deserves an award!!! Alison Lohman was a great actress also!!

We love this movie, 3 of us went and all 3 of us fell in love. Me being the only female cried the whole time, but it almost got my husband too. Tim was great, You could really tell he put his heart and soul into this movie. The story line was wonderful. Before my grandmother died she bought a wild mustang and it had a colt, it was a sight of a life time. You can never take that away. It is one of a kind. So thank you for the memorys and that you for the family that most of us have forgotten with our busy lifes. That is how I remember growing up, down on the farm. 5 Stars ALL THE WAY

Beautiful scenery, beautiful horses but it all goes downhill from there. I feel sorry for the actors and actresses in this movie. I do not believe the producers and directors gave them much to work with in the way of lines or developing the plot and theme. From an equestrians point of view, I and my friends thought it was comical that everytime this so-called tomboy and experienced rider got on a horse, she got thrown! This girl had a new scrape, bruise or scab in every scene! There was only one good line in this whole movie and it was cheapened by not being supported by well developed relationships between the characters (including the horse). It is a shame that this movie wasnt done better. We need more good family films. Family films shouldnt be cheesey and cheaply done.
