One of Leslie Cheung's best film! Fantastic casts...wonderful props...dramatic storyline...from start till the end. Definitely one of the best film on homosexual, coming out from China.

It really is an understatement to say that this movie is great... It's an absolute rare masterpiece! The plot, cinematography, acting and all is just brilliantly captivating. All the three lead actors and actress delivered outstanding performances, especially the late Leslie Cheung who portrayed as the ever so hauntingly beautiful transvestite Peking Opera singer, Cheng Dieyi. His performance is the most noteworthy of the three and is also, with his grace and beauty, never less than convincing. If you haven't watch this movie, try and rent it, you will surely not regret.

I have seen this movie several times, and each time it gets better and better. I think this is the first foreign film I ever watched, and it was a brilliant choice! It is a long movie, but what else do you have to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon? Rent this one, it is worth it!
