Animation was minimalistic. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 12/7/2009A review of Fantastic Mr. Fox by Bace898 It was very well done!!!!
The animation was Fantastic!!!Humor wise; well those who are familiar with Wes Anderson's work know that he HAS a very corky since of humor. Personally, that's what I love about his work. He gives emphasis to the little things that make up ordinary lives and the corks he adds to his characters makes a movie so much more interesting and fascinating to watch! I recommend this movie to those that believe happiness is attainable though many little experiences in life. Was this review helpful? It was very adult as far as humor goes and had a very slow beginning. It picked up and had a few funny scenes, but over all it was really not worth the price of admission. Was this review helpful? It is very funny in tackling the wild human nature in an allegorical form. The cartoon presentation makes it very appealing for everyone including people who thinks cartoons are for children. I am not certain whether this makes it costs lesser but it works a great deal. Was this review helpful? i loved this movie. i have seen it twice.... and with the cost of movie tickets now a days that is saying alot. Was this review helpful? We all totally enjoyed it; sometimes for the same reasons, and often for different reasons. This is one of the best family movies that I have ever seen - and I have seen my share of family movies. Content is appropriate and enjoyable for all ages. A second viewing is a must! Was this review helpful? A lot of boring and predictable scenes going nowhere. Was this review helpful? This is not the movie to take you 5-year old to see. This film is based upon a Dahl story. If you know Dahl (James and the Giant Peach), you know that Dahl's writes children's books for adults and the Fantastic Mr. Fox is no exception. The humor is great and the camera direction is spot on. As I watched this quirky snarky film, I was reminded the film "The Life Aquatic Steve Zissou." The same wierd off beat style and humor.
Recommending ar funny animal film.... I know. I am in that camp too. I usually hate movies with animals acting like people... I mean what's the point. A rabbit in a suit is sillly and maybe a little funny but it usually does nothing for the plot. It seems that the folks here got that message. The animals retained their animal nature which is a main element of the plot. In fact... it is the source of a lot of humor.
To sum it all up. Go for the animation... stay for the laughs. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-10 of 10 Per Page | ||
