Of course a movie isnt going to follow the script of the comic book. The love story behind the titanic was inaccurate and even in other movies based off of a true story they always change some details. It makes the movie more interesting and adds to the plot. I thought this movie was great and I purchased it as soon as it came out on the shelves. Was this review helpful? Sly humor and good acting makes it pretty good, but the action scenes stink. The reason it was a big hit (in my opinion) is because guys wanted to see Invisible Woman and girls wanted to see Johnny Storm. This movie is okay, I say skip it and go rent the Spiderman movies. The movie though didint please me as much as i wanted to. We have great actors and great effects and an already great story. but the wrong in the movie was that we see TOO MUCH description of how it began!! why??? we are talking about an action movie theres no need to be so descripeful about the begining and in effect the battle scenes were minimized to the fullest which was a deadly blow to a movie that is about comic heroes!!! I mean, a comic book movie? Not my thing. But 5 minutes into the movie, I was sitting there, just like "Wow." It was a great movie, pretty funny, but definatly nowhere near what i expected. It was hilarious and had a lot of action which I lovee i encourage everyone to go and see it. This actors did a great job. Its a movie you'll want to see over and over again. If I really, really want to think about a particular subject, I will watch Discovery Channel. Other than that, all I require is a movie that keeps me interested for the duration of the film. I went with my husband and two daughters to the drive in double feature of this film and Stealth. I was not particularly impressed by Stealth, although I am a fan of Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama). So in that regard, I agree with the critic rating. As for the Fantastic Four, I will disagree completely. My entire family enjoyed the film. If a film (devoid of cartoon characters) can keep the attention of a 14 month old and a four year old, then it must be fairly entertaining. My husband, who is not particularly fond of unrealistic films (sci-fi and superhero genres in particular) LOVED this movie. He was embarassed to admit it, but on the drive home suggested that we purchase it upon release "for the kids." He later admitted he wanted it for himself. This is good, clean, family fun. I just wish people would quit analyzing every plot twist or hole and loosen up for a change. It's called entertainment, people. Not rocket science. Was this review helpful? Thought Chiklis was great and Julian McMahon was also excellent, the price of admission was worth it to see him on the big screen.

Its esp. worth the 40.00 for the family for the kids to see the comic heroes we grew up with in comics. Whatever critics gave this movie a thumb's down forgot to view this movie through the eyes of a child and 30-40-50's person that grew up with these comics.
These same critics would give a 5-star rating to a remake of Little house on the Prarie or an old black and white film. Forget them.
Now...marvel needs to produce the Justice league!

I loved this movie and so did my whole family. I dont understand why people are so upset about jessica alba not being a true blonde, she was great for the part!!! Besides, half of the blonde actresses out there are not true blondes. Jessica Alba ALWAYS looks good to me. All the other actors were great, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffud did a great job. I would reccomend this movie to people who know how to have FUN!!!!! Was this review helpful? The "critics" need to find another occupation. I heard second hand, third hand, etc that this was a bad movie. "The worst of all the Marvel movies", I heard. Well, I almost didn't go see it! You have got to be kidding. This movie was worth the price of admission when many movies today are not. I felt so compelled by the contrast between the critics opinions and those I know that have seen it that I decided to write my first review ever. My understanding is that the so called critics ratings come from several "noteworthy" newspapers in our fair land. And they wonder why circulation continues to decline. Was this review helpful? It was very well done though and the special effects were awesome! Plus it doesn't help when you have those actors! I like the way that the characters can help balance eachother out but can get in eachother's way also.

With that said, this movie captures the heart of the FF fan base the bright and colorful opening allows new fans to visually see the happening of how the characters evolved. I can wait for part two. The only negative point to this review is that there needs to be more action seen for the sequel. You have respectfully introduced the characters and their powers, Now it times for them to demonstrate what they can really do. That’s my review…MARVEL ROCKS. Was this review helpful? Jessica Alba, played the part of the invisible women really well, she fits the part perfectly. Chris Evans played the Human Torch he was very fit for his part and he was really good. Gruffud, was really cool as Mr. Fantastic. Michael Chiklis was perfect for the part of Thing. Mr. Doom was my favorite because of the way he played a villian. I've seen him on other shows and plays the part perfectly.
The Plot: While on a space mission they were researching this radioactive cloud and were accidently hit by it. They were all effected by the radioactivity and each recieved superpowers. The only movie I can compare it to was XMen but I think Fan4 is better due to the stunts special effects, plot and story line.
