Date ![]() Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful This is the most realistic midieval age movie I have ever seen. Especially the fighting scenes (no one scampered around in aluminum armor). And there are many lines I will never forget (Never forget this night, It is the doom of man that he forgets, It is the old wound - it has never healed, I am your husband, but first I must be King, etc.). Visually spectacular. Arthur revitalized and his knights riding through the apple orchard, along with the musical score made the hair on my neck stand on end. See this movie! Was this review helpful? Before you criticize a movie for being unfaithful, read the sources yourself you idiot!Having said that, it is a fun film that fails brilliantly. You just can't capture the entire epic in one movie. The movie has supurb cinematography and gives one a great sense of wonderment and deep feeling. The climatic ending with Excalibur being returned to whence it came and King Arthurs departure with the Angels of Avillion, coupled with the musical score, leave one with the same sense of loss as the lone, surviving Knight of the Round Table has. This is a must see for anyone with even the remoteset interest in Arthurian ledgens. Was this review helpful?
