The whole movie was funny except for two parts. The only nasty two parts were the '"Snakes on a Plane'' spoof and the ''Willy Wonka'' spoof. It was still a good movie. Was this review helpful? As Simon Cowell would " That was one of the worst I ever heard". Terrible. Its dosn't give the same affect as Scary Movie does. The jokes aren't that funny, and then they're repeated several times. Too bad it was only 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie.
I can't believe that they got all of those talented and great actors for this blah movie. I learned one thing - you don't have to be mature to make a movie. That kind of humor was funny back in about 7th grade.
Put your money toward a movie that's actually funny - Spinal Tap, Airplane, or Top Secret. Now these are really funny movies. Was this review helpful? Date Movie wasn't as good as the Scary Movies but it still did ok. But Epic Movie does almost nothing to add enjoyment to the series of making fun of movies. Its good humor is sometimes there but the gross, disturbing, and unfunny humor is there most of the time. And a lot of the scenes seem out of place, like they should have been somewhere else. Also, they don't give any creative twists to the places or names of the people from other movies except Jack Swallows. I gotta tell yea, i expected so much more from this movie it looked so funny! But now i know that Scary Movie 1, 2 ,3 ,and 4 are the right choices. And maybe a little of Date Movie. But Epic Movie is a must not have, stay away and never listen to those 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie. Was this review helpful? I stayed up late watching this movie, and I am happy that I had, because I laughed at every stupid thing in this movie. I did find it quite disturbing that the commercials for it, had portrayed it to be exactly like Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4, hence the reason I never wanted to see this in the first place. But, I am happy that I rented it and laughed at it. I did not laugh at it to make it a joke, as most reviewers have previously stated. But, it is rather disturbing that it never showed enough of any one epic, such as Borat. But, I still enjoyed this movie as much as I did the first and second Scary Movie. And, it's after 0130 hours again. So, I am done. Was this review helpful? this movie was a joke from start to finish.
i was waiting for it to be funny. never did.
waiting for some kind of plot connection. it was weird and stupid
and all the actors should never work in film again.
date movie was a tad better but again,nothing special.

whats worse? this movie or beer fest? u decide.....LOL

I mean, it reminded me greatly of the Scary Movie series, only with movies that werent necessarily scary, just big at the box office. While I DO admit it wasnt great in much of anything, it still made me laugh uncontrollably. The sheer stupidity of the entire film was enough to get me laughing. In a sense, it reminded me of Napolean Dynamite also, simply because that movie was quite stupid, but I still laughed. Then again, Im one who tends to laugh at a lot of things. Im just built that way, I guess...
Anyway, its a pretty good movie if you just need to laugh... a lot. Was this review helpful? Both of us agreed it was pretty much the worst theatrical experience we had ever endured. A complete and total mess. Then....last weekend we went to see Reno 911. Little did we realize that there are indeed films worse than Epic Movie...Sad...but true. Anyway, this film is definitely Not Recommended. It is just about the stupidest flick Ive seen in many a moon. Save your money. Do something fun with your kids, like go down to the junkyard and watch chrome rust... Was this review helpful? What a complete waste, hash of my precious money. Im sorry, guys, but I hated this movie. It was a complete waste of my time, energy, and gag reflex. I found the Willy Wonka depiction disgusting, (it made my stomach churn at the mere thought of it), The Aslam bit was a disgrace, the only thing that was relativley decent was the White Witch, only because I like the actress who plays her. The pirates were a disgrace to a fantastic movie (Pirates of the Caribbean, work of a genius), and the gentleman who played J.Depp (presuming it wasnt J.Depp, which was painfully obvious) was... a disgrace. I cant think of another way of putting it. I want my money back, I didnt actually go to the management today after Id left (after 25 minutes - my friend and i were disgusted and actually wanted to leave in the first 10, but refrained, under a naive hope that it would get better) but I think I shall. I demand my money back. And Im considering writing a complaint to both the writers and the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) to complain that this movie was not suitable for the age range it was said to be for. The plot was a complete hash, the script was terrible, a thrown together mix and a complete defamation of some fantastic movies. Its a disgrace to the film board.

Did i MEntion this movie is Great i totally reccomend seeing it it was awesome. IT BLEW MY MIND. Like when a hippie sees colors.
But dont spend your money on it it was a waste of time and money and popcorn. SO do yourself a favor and dont see it
It was SO Unbeleivbly good that i felt bad that i didnt pay more so i bought an extra 3 tickets and saw it by myself.
IF i could i wqould have spit on this movie but i didnt have a chance cause i lift early
