It is the peak of his career as martial arts movie star only because of his so untimely death that left his fans wanting for more. The movie script is well written making it a movie of the same class of the old james bond movies. The photography is splendid giving the viewers an exiting movie of visual 'goodies' and the music by Lalo Schifrin is excellent, a 70's eclectic sound of musical delight. To fans of martial arts movies it is paramount to have watched Enter the Dragon, because in itself it is great piece of movie history on different levels, but most of all it is thee martial art movie of our time starring the legendary Bruce Lee in exiting action, philosophical mood, and deadly fury throwing punches and kicks at lightning speed with ease, grace, and power. It was very impressive, and one of Bruce Lee's best show of extraordinary martial arts skills. This movie also had an interesting story line for the audience to follow with the all the actions.
The beautiful setting of Hong Kong was unbelievable. Was this review helpful? Especially since they used Bruce Lee's real voice and speaking english , instead of dubbing it over with hokey deep voices like in his earlier movies. Alot of the movie databases credit Chuck Norris as a "messenger" in this movie. But I looked for him and still don't see him! What scene is he in? Otherwise, I think they are miscrediting Chuck or over crediting him. He was in "Way of the Dragon"(Return of the Dragon) for sure, though. And Jackie Chan is the guard that gets his neck "broken" by Bruce in the underground fight sequence. I hope someday that I will be able to get the new 2-disc DVD and sell my current 1-disc version. In fact, Bruce did not fight much when comparing to his other earlier films, but when he fights, he would strike a chord at one's heart. Was this review helpful? He has opened a whole new world for thousands of people through his philosophies which he expressed in this film. His acting was quite good considering he was primarily a martial artist, but hey, most acting in the '70's was below average. This film is a must see for martial artists and film goers alike. Bruce Lee keeps this movie alive with pure talent, and his ability to act is not as bad as most people think. The plot was simple, and the cast was also simple. I do reccomend that if you enjoy martial arts movies than you should see this movie before you go see a movie with Jet Li, or Jackie Chan. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-10 of 10 Per Page | ||
