Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Read This!!!Posted: 9/23/2007A review of Employee of the Month by Brandi1002 the movie was funny and original.Andy Dick,Dane Cook,Efren Ramirez and Dax Shepard were all hilarious.I loved the little scenes between them that included gay jokes and put downs. Jessica Simpson should not have been in this movie. If you think about all the inspiring actresses who are looking for the perfect break in Hollywood and would have been perfect for the role but are then outdone by Simpson it can really make you hate her. She shouldn't be acting anymore especially after her bad act in Dukes of Hazzard. The only reason she is still "hot" is because of her big breasts and slim body. the movie wasn't worth seeing in theatres and you should rent it once just to see it. It was ok, but not great and it had its funny moments. Was this review helpful? these people work at a place like sams club and they treat their job like they make 60 to 70 grand a year.
the only funny parts are by andy dick character. who can bearly see and have thick ass glasses.
jessica simpson character is sexy as hell, but in real life that type of women wouldnt be working at sams club.
the movie lack the realness of being casheir or a stocker. lack realness how a company or corparation treats its lowest employees.
dont buy and dont rent just wait for it to come on tv or cable.

All of the reviews posted here are mostly judging the movie based on Jessica Simpsons personal life and not by the acting--which by all means, does not set the standard for the Academy Awards or anything, but it wasnt terrible either. Watch the movie without any personal opinions regarding Jessica Simpson, and judge the character she plays in the movie, and the movie itself. But I guess its too much to ask for anyone to watch a movie without any biased thoughts..... Was this review helpful? This film makes Dane Cook look overrated and this movie was boring! Dane Cook can be funny, but just not funny enough in this movie. However, he did a great job acting. I think he will be great in more serious roles rather than comedy. And Im sure we will see him in more movies. This movie is not worth going out and paying to see. I saw this movie two weeks ago and there wasnt many laughs from the audience and I could tell that many of Dane Cook fans were disappointed. This movie will probably come out on DVD in a month or two. This usually tells everyone that this movie was a flop. Go and check it out for yourself, but Im sure many of you will leave disappointed. It also speaks to anyone who has worked in mall or big store of any kind. Being able to relate to the movie makes it even funnier.
The direction takes away from the movie though. There are dead times where I thought the director was just stretching the movie. While the direction did not take away from the overall positive effect of the movie, it made me wish I had a fast forward button so that I could get on with the action.

His acting was pretty great though! All the guys in the movie were very funny, but it just seemed that the laughs(which were big) were too spaced out. I found myself waiting for the next laugh and becoming bored with the movie itself. And please whoever thinks its a good idea to put Jessica Simpson in a movie...just DONT! Shes boring. She has no inflection in her voice. No presence. And really her character does seem like a dumb slut. I was upset the hero actually went for her. She wears clothes that are way to tight and way too revealing at work, and as soon as DC gets one gold star shes all up on that...And on top of that I really did get to the point where I wished it would end.
