Date  Helpful Rating 2 out of 2 users found this helpful  Hilriious and really cuteanyone who says this movie isnt funny is taking life too seriously. of course it isnt realistic, i mean its about elves and the north pole for crying out loud, but since when does a movie have to be realistic to be good? will ferrell would be funny no matter what he did. great for little kids( and adults with a sense of humor too!). I didn't know if it was going to be funny or just plain stupid but when I saw it, I laughed so hard. This is what I call a family film. Was this review helpful? There are some parts of the movie that made you laugh. It was a cute and a great holiday entertainment. You can certainly take the whole family to watch this film.<br> Was this review helpful? On the other hand his girlfriend in Elf was great. What a singer-loved her! Really, what a beautiful, sexy voice-she oughta cut a record. James Caan was good too-in contrast to his tough guy image from, say, the Godfather-this was a funny part for him. All he could let go was a "Up Yours" to his boss-that was hilarious. It had a couple funny moments but Ed Asner as the oddly cranky Claus and James Caan as Elf's real father were severely mis-cast. I am usually the type of person who enjoys to see dramatic roles, and not so interested in comedies.<br> When I was invited by a family member to see the movie Elf, I wasn't that excited although I do adore Will Ferell, as every 13 year old girl should.<br> When I started watching the movie I was completely amused it was a really kool movie, even for me.<br> My whole family enjoyed it. If your looking for a movie to see family fun go to Elf. If your looking for a cute movie, go see Elf.
