Posted: 6/10/2007A review of Eight Below by AceDonald1
Normally i love movies based off of true stories but in this case i hate it. Eight Below shouldn't have even come out to theaters. 2 dogs die and a third one almost dies. When a dog fell of a cliff and slid down and hurt itself, and how its brother cried when he died. But i guess not everything is bad. Paul Walker does a great job in the movie. And how the dogs play cards. But still, the 2 dogs die. This movie made me cry. When an animal dies, it takes away your spirit to watch the movie. Nobody likes movies with sad endings. So if you are an animal lover, stay away.

I went to the movie with great expectations but it turned out to be some circus show with dogs. If u love dogs then it might be the other way.

This is a must see, must own movie. It is a great sit down together family movie. It is for kids of all ages. I love Paul in this movie it is probably some of his best acting yet, next to Running Scared. Dogs are great, it was really cool that you could tell what they were thinking without and cheesy talking, which made this a more real life like movie. Like I said Must See, Must Own.

This totally beats the crude out of the other movie Ive seen with Paul Walker (Varsity Blues). What I mean is movie goers want stuff like eight dogs stranded for about six to eight months and thats what Eight Below delivers with drama and some humer like the poker scene and also the weather creating obsticles from time to time. So Starz OnDemand, Starz, Starz Kids and Family, Encore, Encore Drama, Encore Action, Disney Channel, and ABC, you have to put this box offive hit on your comming soon list.

This was such a fantastic movie, and a very cute one as well! It was definitely a touching movie, I left with tears in my end, but it is so adorable and also very uplifting! This movie is one that I believe eveyone should see, especially those whom love animals and know the loss of them. It was so cute and good, I loved it! If you are looking for a good family movie, or even just a movie to see, see this! It is excellent

Let me start by saying I am totally biased because we have 6 Siberians. That fact stated, I LOVED this movie! I loved the fact that this movie truly showed the public just how soulful dogs are. I have witnessed first hand all of the wonderful emotions these dogs showed (yes I know they were just acting in the movie). Dogs love without any gain or reward in mind. They are not selfish or conceited. They pull together when the chips are down and look out for one another without self in mind. They do what is asked of them by us because they trust without questions or doubt. I know some people possess these traits too, but far to few.

the last time i saw a movie about snow, it was chocked full of snowdogs, which again occured in this movie. i wasnt sure whether the dogs were Spanish or Portugese, which really would have improved my outlook on the movies themes. i think that Paul Walker should have brought his SUPRA to the set so he could make money and not have to beg like i dog. anyway, this moive was just too FAST AND FURIOUS for me.

Ive loved this movie. Great, sensitive, loving, a praise to friendship, to loyalty, to life itself. No weapons, no wars, no terror....Anyone can see this movie children, adults...beautifully done and great scenery, the photography is amazing. Why dont they make more movies this category? Take your kids to see this movie and they will learn wonderful values. Simply...A GREAT MOVIE.

How nice and refreshing to see a movie that actually was comfortable to be in without the usual Hollywood trash. Beautifully done.

A movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat, as this one did, without violence or depraved characters has become a rarity. This is a great movie for kids because it depicts loyalty, leadership and commitment. But adults will enjoy this movie, too, because it deals with psychological issues and complex human emotions. The human characters, somewhat flawed, gain redemption in the end. If you love dogs, you will see the character traits we admire in our canine friends and you will enjoy this film.
