Loved the biker scenes and Nickelson in the football helment. Always felt sorry for the waitress, she was just doing her job trying to earn a living. Peter Fonder will always be the cool guy on the bike for me. I do think the movie is showing it's age now. What happened to all those angry people who were going to change things??? The next best besides this one would be The Hard Ride with Robert Fuller.Excellent writting and direction and beautiful photography highlight this viewing experience. As for the soundtrack...well it goes without saying that all the songs work well to complete this masterpiece. It maybe a bit dated by todays standards, but it is always memorable to watch. If youve hadnt seen it yet....dont you think it is about time? You wont be disappointed. Was this review helpful? Steppenwolf's anthem to the 1960's counter-culture is all put in one movie...EASY RIDER. With a soundtrack to die for and Really good 'stoned' performances by Fonda and Hoper as well as Jack nicholson,these guys really acted like they were high.The search for real America a really nice adventure of a movie! Nam was hot & so was I. Movie displayed how it was at that time, boomers could relate. Peter still rides scout to Sturgis, Dennis & Jack have always been& still are my favorites !
