Just got back from seeing this movie. It's one of those that yoiu walk out of the theatre and feel like grabbing your wifes hand and walking to the car with her. That you feel that much closer to her. The story is well told, and it's great the way it's told. The characters are perfect! Kevin Klein is definitely one of my more favorite characters, but of all April is a winner. Sure makes moving to New York desirable too!

Movies are my life I love going to them but this movie wasn't one that extremely catched my eye but it did giveme a interest so I decided to go watch it but it turned out to be way better than I though. As if you all didn't know the previews made it look a little dull ,but if you go to theatres than you sure can see why it was good. It's a cute chick-flick that gives you a look at a man and his bad experiences with love. We all have had those times thou so we all can relate. Some of the movie was a little too funny but thats the best part.

I didn't expect much of anything, but I came away from this movie happily surprised. This one proves to me that there is a glimmer of hope that Hollywood can improve on itself. To the makers of this movie: You done good. You've proven that the art of story telling isn't a lost art. The lead character has the appeal of Ben Affleck - low key, reactionary. The female characters are all appealing, especially the character who played April. This guy lives a charmed life, because all the women are beautiful and all his friends are witty. There is a lot of chemistry working here, between all of the players. The backdrop of the Clinton campaign and his presidency serves as a timeline for the main character's own life, reflecting his own ups and downs. Very intelligent, witty dialogue, and a clever plot technique. I loved it.

It was very funny. But more for girls and mothers than for dads to see. Romantic, funny, fairy tale twist. This movie shows love can happen...

I totally enjoyed this movie. It was exactly what the preview showed. Didn't know who Maya's mother was until it was revealed. It was a refreshing change from the predictable romatic comedies I've seen lately, with more emphasis on romance and the search for your true love than comedy. Although it might've been slower in pace in some parts, it still kept me very interested. It was nice to see Ryan Reynolds play a mature romantic lead for a change, and show his softer, emotional side. The chemistry with young Amy Breslin is so evident. All of the three female lead really shined (?), but one of them really had the best chemistry. Kevin Kline also made an appearance in a scene-stealing role. This movie was sweet and touching and I've already seen it three (3) times already!

Ryan Reynolds, in my opinion, is a great actor but don't have high expectations for this movie. If you are in the mood for a cute, predictable movie it could be an option, but I would recommed waiting for it to come out on DVD and just renting it. Reminiscing about the 90's before the death of Kurt Cobain and the Monica Lewinski scandal was fun in itself, but the situations of Ryan's character's life are a little too unrealistic. Like I said I would recommend this movie as a rental when you just feel like staying home and relaxing. Don't base your opinion on the actors in this movie on this performance alone because besides this movie they have starred in many great movies and have done wonderful jobs.

What a strange experience. The movie was well done by and large. Some interesting camera work. Engaging actors all around. A good bit of amusing dialogue, a couple funny situations. An interesting idea. And yet, all the way through I was watching my watch with more interest. So what was it that didn't work for me? Two things, I think. First, the story was just weird. While I liked the idea of the little girl asking for the story, and not knowing who mom was, I felt like the divorce just took all the pleasure out of it. Basically, the story came down to, "Too bad your mom was the wrong person for me. Shame you came from an error, isn't it? Hope you've got the plucky cuteness to help me see the error of my ways and pick the right person!" Ick. The second thing was that this movie was so self-aware of it's own cuteness, and so determined to point out when it was being cute. I don't mind having my heartstrings tugged, I just can't stand it when the movie practically has someone hold up a sign reading, "Warning, Kleenex needed soon!" Altogether not a complete waste of time, but not really worth it either.

This was a very entertaining and funny movie which we all four thoroughly enjoyed! The humor was constant and very clever! The acting was great, and the script was original and beautifully written. We laughed out loud (which is a first for our group in a long time) and highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys quick and intelligent humor.

What a horrible movie. Innocense lost for sure. Our children can't even be children any more! How desensitized do we have to get before our whole civilization turns to dust? I am so tired of these terrible scripts! Don't support this crass material.
