This time, the action takes place in Los Angeles and the mild-mannered Bronson is nudged into action by the gang-rape and murder of his Spanish maid and daughter, both of which are shown in gruelling, repulsive detail that will turn even the strongest of stomachs. When Bronson hits the revenge trail, all credibility is lost, as we are treated to the sight of hardened criminals running a mile from a sixty year old man, drug dens infested with rats, everyone from the cops to a seemingly impartial physician siding with Kersey's violent rampage and some of the worst direction and editing ever to disgrace a mainstream motion picture. Jimmy Page contributes a score that appears to have been improvised in all of five minutes, and the script is relentlessly dull. Always heavily cut on network TV, and with very good reason, this stinkbomb will appeal only to sado-masochists and the mentally disturbed. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-1 of 1 Per Page | ||
