If you like your comedy and your point of view a bit skewed...watch this. Please watch this, and pay attention! There are tons of wonderful little things and asides that really make this film a treat.

I rented it and watched it. I thought this movie was one of the funniest movies I ever saw! Edward Norton, once again, gives an amazing performance as Smoochy the Rhino aka Sheldon Mopes. This is a MUST see movie.....anybody can watch it!!!

The twisted humor is taken in by those of us who are gagged by all the kids shows that we watch, because we have children, etc. Robin Williams pulls this character out of nowhere and gives it to Edward Norton, who by the way also does an outstanding preformance! I also think that Catherine Keener does an amazing job, but come on like its that hard to play an up tight b. Overall I think this movie sticks it to stand barney and his stupid little friends!! I kept seeing the Movie Title and didn't have any idea what it was about. I am a Robin Williams fan, and I am dating myself here, but I loved in Mork and Mindy.
I will say the movie is definitely different but I guess I just have a "flexible" sense of humor. It was strange seeing Robin Williams in this role. But then again, it's acting. Edward Norton was adorable. That's something for me to say because I really kind of thought he resembled P.W.H.... I am not sure if I can say a name and don't feel like getting sued. lol Was this review helpful? I never would have thought that Robin Williums would have been made out as an drunkin swaring lunitic. But he played it so well. Especially after the 100th viewing. That's exactly what Robin William's charcter Rainbow Randolph plans to do. But his foe is a purple rhino named Smoochy, played by Edward Norton. After losing his TV show slot to Smoochy, Randolph puts a price on his head. Norton does an excellent job playing the naive nice guy who's out to conquer the world of childrens TV, all the while foregoing corporate profits and greed. The movie has some really good laugh out loud secenes and should not be missed. Was this review helpful? I didnt listen to all of the critics when it first came out, cause they're all full of crap and have no idea what they're talking about. Robin Williams should get much more recognition in this film than he receives. I personaly thought that he did a magnificent job of acting out the role of Rainbow Rudolph. Anyone who contradicts this statement should try to play him and they definitely couldnt do much better. This is a very funny movie, especially during some scenes with the rocket ship cookies and the )#$* rally. I thought i was going to pee my pants when i saw these particular scene. The plot is perfect for an actor like Robin Williams to shine in. Danny DeVito did a great job of directing. This is a god movie all the way around. The only thing i would change is a whole lot less language, such as F words and taking God's name in vain. Was this review helpful? Robin William's performance as a man slowly losing grip on reality in a hysterical comedy is a treat for all those who have been waiting for a very long while to see something funny from him. The scene where he comes out of the police station is so funny, we (5 people) were laughing so hard, someone literally peed in their pants. We had to play it back three times to get all the jokes and comedic statements. It was even funnier the second time we saw the movie. It is one of the funniest scenes in any movie I've seen.
