Many of you may actually know the main student character as one of the Doctors on House..I was wondering where he had gone too...because in Dead Poets Society..he had looked gorgeous...One of the selling points of the film, the subtle romance playing against the greater problem of parental and societal expections. And Red from that 70s Show got to play his father and another one of the students was the evil guy in SWAT and Four Brothers. Just to inform anyone who has not seen this movie of the great acting cast. Should one remain conventional or contraversial? Inspirational or Strict and unwelcoming? Robin Williams remains a great comedian in this movie and even when I had been younger, I feel in love with this movie. You have to watch it

This movie was one of the greatest movies I have seen. It's the compelling drama of boys living in the '50's trying to live up to their parents standerds, when John Keating (Robin Williams...did a superb job)comes and changes the rules, it rubs the other staff the wrong way. Although it has plenty of funny parts, it has many parts that will make you tear up. I would recommend this movie for anyone. If you aren't moved by it, well, I don't know what to tell you.

I really enjoyed the movie and overall plot. The actors did a fantastic job at becoming their character.

If you are into writing and reading, this might be your movie. It's a movie about finding oneself and express it and relationship between a group of students and an instructor played by Robin William. I like it.

The movie reminds one of the truths that we have left behind in our race for getting more and more civilized and mechanized. We do no longer listen to what our heart says. We only say what we are taught to. The more intellectual we become the more unimaginative we become. Peter Weir, as usual with an unanswered end, shares with us a re-look at what we are loosing day by day hour by hour. Robin Williams gives a lifetime performance. The atmosphere created in the movie reminds us of the inner struggle that is tearing apart people like us - the people with dreams to write "that" poetry but landing up doing "those" computing jobs.

I absolutely loved this movie, it was fantastic. I watched it in English with my entire class, thank god they did not see tears in my eyes at the end. My english teacher is much like Mr. Keeting (Robin Williams) in the way she teaches with a passion and love for teaching. I admire her in so many ways. She devotes all her time to us and at the same time she is so funny and kind. I'm very happy that she played the movie I for us. I recommend it to everyone of all ages :)

I particularly liked the plot - very interesting, very well planned. The acting was a bit cheesy at some points, but overall very effective. My favorite parts were when Charlie Dalton answered the "phone call from God", and when they stood up at the end for Mr. Keating.

There weren't many flaws, except for the above mentioned acting.

I love it and want more but then I love poetry and write my own. Robin Williams is a great actor anyways and I personally love all his work.

The first time I saw this movie was in an entertainment class in the seventh grade. Two years later and it is still one of my most favorite movies ever. The most surprising part is that it makes my eyes a little watery at the end (not quite crying) because it has the best frikking ending to a movie I have ever seen. A classic that I watch over and over again!

Most of us people go out in this world after college and take a job that we will think that will last forever and give us the power to have freedom, but when it is to late we end up falling down and asking ourselves why didn't we choose theother path? I have yet not completed my life story as I am still in college, but then again I have taken the path that many will regret for the rest of their lives if they change the path that they are leading towards in life. Sure you will say that itis for the best of change, but in fact you know deep inside you thinking that it won't be, and then when you hit the ";real world"; you look aroundand hit your head everyday that you're in that cubical and muttering to yourself. By now you havegrown too old, your children are asking questions of why the world is round, or why is it I have to clean my room dad or mom? Then it slowly dawns on you that you begin that dread to the office chair and listen to others complain, but you alone keep silent. Go and venture out somewhere where you never have been, and come back to the city as you will grab your belongings and move. In conlcusion, this movie makes you think of all the possible angles in life, but most of all it makes you wonder where and what you could've done, so in all words, get out and seek your grounds.
