On the other hand the make up could have been better but besides that this movie was wonderful. One of my favorite points in the movie was during the shopping spree they had (cash or credit) in the zombie riddeled mall. Though I have know Idea what TV's would be of use during the Apocalypse??? Well I have ranted enough for today so I will leave you with one last breath....

Don't let no one in. No one.....

-Spector Was this review helpful? I thought the same
for both films. the Combination of elements that
were used worked well.Great musical score, great acting, great story line, great fx. I really
liked the music done by Goblin. Was this review helpful? (Fly Boy, why didn't you just go through the shaft after your arm got shot? you were the best character)
This movie will satisfy cravings for horror like no other. Was this review helpful? The whole thing isn't even bad enough to be laughable, though the blue face is pretty silly! Was this review helpful? The "Dawn" family, or Zombie family in Europe, are great fans and great fun. Thanks for making this the "splash" that it became. George, we're waiting for your next one...
Jim K, Helicopter Zombie in "Dawn" Was this review helpful? Enjoy! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 3 users found this helpful Posted: 8/15/2003A review of Dawn of the Dead by Nakedbarbarianbubba Of the three (not including the Night of the Living Dead remake by Tom Savini), Dawn of the Dead was the most disappointing. This film had the potential to be an exceptional horror, in that it was well concieved and, early in the film, somewhat well executed. Unfortunately the film lacked in make-up artistry what Tom Savini's later projects achieved and the musical score relieved to much tension. Still, George Romero once again had the courage to direct a horror film in which there was no happy ending, in which the heroes did not save the day, and in which the villain was not overcome. This, combined with exceptional acting, managed to save the film, and set up the third, Day of the Dead, which delivers more successfully where this film achieves only decent mediocrity Was this review helpful? This movie is in the process of a re-make as I type this, and I fear the original will be thrown to the lions and forgotten after the 2003 version of the film is released. This movie is epic! The load of social satire is subtly smeared across it (the ignorant and superficial will be too engrossed in the action to detect it). I recommend this movie to anyone who can handle exploding heads and blood that flows like wine. Put it in your movie collection and leave your mark on American consumerism! The sales are 'A Poppin'!
