I dont think tooth fairy plot is stupid. You can turn anything, everything and nothing into a horrifying plot. Compare it to The Grudge then. The Grudge is more stupid. Was this review helpful? The plot is too formulaic. Special effects are terrible, considering what the audience now expects when it comes to something like this...tooth fairies aren't normally the scariest creatures aorund, and trying to turn a movie about a demonic tooth fairy into a believeable story is quite impossible. I still don’t understand how this movie was made to be taken seriously. If it was a parody, then that’d be a different story. However, it is not. There is a semi-decent beginning, but by the end, you're most likely doing one of three things: 1. Regretting any initial thoughts you had that this movie would actually be worth seeing 2. Laughing your ass off at the cheapness 3. Sobbing at the fact that you have now wasted 120 minutes of your short life. Now I don't know about you, but I do not want to end up doing that at the end of a "horror" movie. Was this review helpful? I kept telling myself that there was no way it could get any worse, but it did. The plot and background story to the movie continually changes and the actors were AWFUL. From what I saw in the previews it looked to be somewhat good and boy was I mistaken. They had such a good story to go on and yet the movie was crap. It was quite repetitive and I was in need of something to do midway into the movie. The acting could have been better and I havent even heard of the actors that played in the movie except for Emma Caulfield which doesnt need acting to be good. She made the movie good or bad. The end needed some work. I dont think it would have ended like that and you sit through however long it is just to see this poorly written script to come to a close with a poof. The plot was kinda far-fetchedand even though the special effects were really cool, I wasn't scared for squat. The previews make it seem as if you couldn't sleep without a nightlight for a week- which is so not true. The scariest part was when a stupid cat jumps out. The story is very predictable and the acting just down right awful. Where have I seen this movie before I asked myself. Oh yes, Wes Craven's ";They."; This movie had so many refrences to ";They"; that it wasn't even funny, or scary for that matter. This tells me that the film makers had not one original thought towards the production of this movie. Along with a bunch of ";B"; movie actors, the creature and effects in this movie are downright deplorable. No offense to Stan Winston or his studio. Maybe one day film makers will think of an original plot and a good one for that matter. As for this movie, don't waste your time in the theatre. Wait and rent it, but don't buy it.
