Crash is one of those movies that while you watch it you realize that you are witnessing not a movie but "Real Life", You realize that you know all the caracters playing simple roles and interacting with one another and you also find yourself in one of them. It is a powerfull and simple story presented with not too many special efects (Thanks God) but with such powerfull convencing performances from the whole cast that, when you walk out of the teather you feel guilty becouse you know that you are part of what you just experienced. Don't you?? Ten you try to make corrections on your own behavior and then you wait for the movie to come out on DVD form and buy it and enjoy it as many times as you want to. Part of the magic of the movie is that any time you watch it you find new connections amoung the caracters. Thanks for such a great piece of art!>

Best Picture?? What an embarrassment for the Academy. Mediocre and contrived at best, this film has nothing on Brokeback Mountain, which we know was the better film. BBM will stand the test of time, while Crash will soon be forgotten. It's a shame the conservative academy chickened out by choosing the least awarded film over the most awarded and acclaimed one of 2005.

I thought that this movie worked well, and that it all came together at the end. It was great to see Sandra Bullock in such a serious role. Director, Paul Haggis, did a wonderful job of telling the separate stories and keeping us involved. Worth watching.

I didn't like this movie when I saw it 2 years ago. Then, it won Best Picture. So, I recently watched it again. It was even worse. Total silliness. Bad acting. I do get the point: that sometimes when people try not to be racist, they are being racist...or something like that. Anyway, this is just simply bad movie-making. A total train-wreck, along the lines of the worst movie of 2006, The Break-Up. Crash is the worst movie ever to win Best Picture. How embarassing for the Academy. They pretty much ruined all credibility with this one.

I bought this movie because I had seen posters and previews and heard alot of good th igs about it. And even though I thought the movie had great acting preformances I was a little, how can I say it...annoyed by the plot. Maybe it is just me but I really dont notice too bad of a racism problem in most parts of the US. For the past two years I have been living in Brazil and coming home I really didnt notice that there is a racist problem here. I think movies like this blow things out of proportion and make people think that there is. But maybe that is just me. So overall I would say this movie is almost worth seeing because of the acting but not worth seeing as a eye opening, life altering movie.

This movie was, and to-date still is one of the most powerful movies EVER! It touched a major taboo subject, racism, in such a real and frank way and not just black-white racism but all other major race conflicts which are often pushed under the rug. It made one think beyond the characters in the movie, to who those characters represented in our global society, and in such a riveting way! The video editing was carefully crafted to keep you on the edge of your seat AND your emotions throughout the ENTIRE film. It also showed just how small our world is... though we are different people and lead different lives we inevitably crash into each other at some point or the other. I have watched it a total of 5 times and counting.... I had to go and get the DVD. Im shocked that some people were surprised that this film received Oscars! Of course it would!

Im an 18 year old girl from Saudi arabia I really believe that this movie has a great purpose . this movie is not like any other pointless movie . racism is widespread in all over the world not just black and white but also arab and muslims . racism is rejected in all spiritual religions. obviously we shouldnt jude people from how they look we should always look inside them.

When i first saw the trailer for Crash, i was already dying to watch it. So when it came out in the theatres, i dragged my friends to come watch it with me, and every single penny i spent on watching that movie was worth it. It touched me deeply, i cried a hell lot during and after the movie because its true, this world is filled with racism and sexium but what can we do about it? I recommend this movie to any one, ages 12. People should realize that rascium and sexium still exists and we cant ignore it, but try and chance it. BTW i also own a Crash DVD. P Just because i love it SO SO MUCH D

Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, William Fichtner , Brendan Fraser, Terrence Howard, Chris Bridges, Ryan Philippe all star in this great drama Crash i the story is set in Los Angeles shortly after Sept. 11, 2001, this epic drama tracks the intersecting lives of a Brentwood housewife and her attorney husband, a Persian store owner, two police detectives who are also lovers, an African-American television director and his wife, a Mexican locksmith, two car-jackers, a rookie cop, and a middle-aged Korean couple. This movie is great how, could not like this movie. It has meaning. This movie also won a oscar for best picture of 2005 this movie was bound to win. It was up against Brokeback Mountian witch won all the other awards for best picture I have never seen Brokeback Mountain and probubaly never will. I have seen Crash I own Crash. Crash winning not a big surprise to me that it won but i am glad it did. It was on my top ten list of the best movies of 2005 it was not number 1 but it was . It also was the film cricrit Roger Ebert Best movie if 2005 and Richard Roeper 2nd. You should have seen it in the theather but if you did not dont rent, Buy it!

I am so glad that this movie won best picture and it richly deserved the award. I am so tired of gay rights activists hijacking the media and taking the focus away from truly serious issues facing our society. I didnt find this years win an upset in any way ... its about time Hollywood showed some backbone against what has become a fashionable cause. Crash was an awesome movie. I didnt find the connections between the characters in the least bit contrived. I loved how you would think you had a character all figured out and then something would happen and force you to look at that person in a different light. Stereotypes exist for a reason ... there is truth in every one of them. This movie shows that in spades, but it also shows that there are many shades of gray and many facets to every individual. Crash forces you to face your own prejudices and take a good hard look at whether or not you are part of the problem. I walked away from this movie talking about it and thinking about it for days afterward. I was so proud of the actors and actresses who participated in the film, regardless of the size of their roles. I think they all probably knew they were involved in something really meaningful and it certainly has caused me to rethink several opinions I have had for decades. On a lighter note, Ill bet tourism in L.A. is just going to SOAR! LOL.

The best movie I have ever seen. Tastefully addresses a very touchy subject. Made me want to be a better person.

First, I dont remember when was the last time I watched a movie more than once. I watched Crash twice, before Oscar night. The first time was a powerful emotional roller coaster ride, purely for entertainment on the surface, action and thriller and drama in the name of racism and redemption. The second time it revealed to me at a deeper level, caused an introspection into my own soul and spirit, and the soul and spirit of all of us human beings on this tiny planet, along with our thoughts, our feelings, our actions, our behaviors. To me, Paul Haggis, and whoever else collaborated with him on this masterpiece, are downright brilliant. Everything about this movie is a metaphor of each of us individual and who we are and what were made of, from the title Crash to all the stories and all the characters. The automobiles were used as a vehicle (pun intended) to represent our physical body, steel and glass, skin and bone. And the people inside their vehicles and what they do and struggle with represent our mind and soul and our decisions that we have to make everyday. All the characters and their stories and their lives represent our feelings and emotions as we transform our decisions into action. Our feelings and emotions are less pure the minute were born. Were constantly polarized by many external forces, both good and bad. The little girl who saved her father with the impenetrable shield is as pure as it gets. No pretense, no fear, no blame, no selflessness. Just love and the intense focus on it. And it did miracle for her father and the shooter, who are both saved in different ways, and who will forever believe in miracle, even stronger than the pure and innocent little girl ever believe in it.
