I would rate it 5 star because of the scary and magic in the movie. The message that was carried out through the movie was true. Be careful what you wish for. If you like or love the Nightmare Before x-Mas then i guess you would enjoy this movie. yet there is one part that kinda made me raise a eyebrow!? Well Coroline has these two old people who must have been in show buissness for awhile, well they end up puttung on a show for Coroline and her"friend" Whybi or something like that (note that this is in the other world), the old ladies put on a opera showl like you know mermaids and stuff like that well one old lady has umm big you know...brests haha boobs you know lol :D and shes only wearing almost like stickers on her umm well yeah and you almost see everything! :O But other than that i really think that Coroline is Scary yet Intreasting, yet fun but its really good but nothing can ever be as good as nightmare before x-mas if you know what i mean..:) Was this review helpful? I took a female fiend in need of a good time to this and I had to apologize after this garbage was viewed by us. A very dull and boring story. It was a small movie.Nothig grand or inventive about it. The story was different,but that in itself was not enough. After A nighmare before Christmas,we expected a great movie and cant say enough how dissapointed we were, along with the other movie goers. It is horrible and beyond scary; it's diabolical and dark. The wickedness is not for children. I found it horrible to hear children asking their parents about the evil Other Mother. Spare yourself and your children. Save your money and spend the quality time with your children that can foster a better relationship with them...
Anyone who rates this above a one doesn't care about the children. I have not a bit of respect for the message in this movie. He won''t sleep in his room and has been sleeping in our bed ever since. He cant get the disturbing images out of his head and i dont blame him. When we left the theatre i was feeling anxious myself. The story is pretty dark so dont take younger kids. I also thought the part with the lady with big boobs wearing just pasties was completely innapropriate for a movie aimed towards a younger audience. When that scene came out even my son knew he shouldnt be looking at stuff like, he closed his eyes and turned his head until i assured him that part was over. Go see!Posted: 2/8/2009A review of Coraline by ValleyFan59 My daughter is rather innocent for being 10 and I was a bit apprehensive about going to see this with her. Not only did she find it entertaining, as I did, but she got a good message from the movie: families aren't perfect, but families do love each other no matter what! And all is not what it seems! The movie was visually spectacular, the storyline intriguing and the characters loveable and inviting. I have a tendency not to purchase movies as I think that is a complete waste of money. However, we will buy this one! My daughter and I repeatedly said hours after leaving the theater, "That was such a good movie!" Go see it! You won't be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
