This is a great Arnold flick. You gotta love all the adventure and fighting. I heard the wolves actually caught up with him in that scene where he ran to the cave. You might also like Clash of the Titans if you like this one.

"Conan the Barbarian" is high quality cheese. Had it taken itself seriously, it would have been awful. But because good special effects and some humor abounds, it remains light-hearted and really entertaining. Arnold Schwarzenegger (pro-"Hercules in New York," pre-"Terminator") plays our hero, Conan, with enough zest and gusto to hold up most of the film. He appropriately hams it up on occasion and does his best to bring a rather one-dimensional character to life. The film begins with young Conan, whose parents are murdered by Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) and his minions. Conan becomes a slave, and after years of labor, he beefs up considerably. When he’s set free, he decides to avenge his parents’ deaths by slaying Doom. He is accompanied by Rexor (Ben Davidson) and Valeria (Sandahl Bergman), who, according to the Screenplay Rule of Thumb, becomes Conan’s love interest. The best thing about "Conan the Barbarian" is its campy, harmless fun. It knows it’s tongue-in-cheek and proudly waves it around like a banner. The two screenwriters, director John Milius and future Oscar-winner Oliver Stone, know they’re dealing with ridiculous material and supply proper ludicrousness but don’t sink to the level of brainlessness. The action sequences in "Conan" aren’t necessarily great by today’s standards, but at least they offer thrills. There’s a memorable scene with Conan and a giant snake, and the final confrontation between hero and villain works better than expected. "Conan the Barbarian" is much better than most of the sword and sorcery flicks of the 1970s and 1980s. It offers lots of blood, plenty of blade-to-blade combat, some funny material, and is surprisingly successful in its delivery.

I love this film. The story was okay, and I love the ending the most, it's the Arnold at his best in this film.
