This show was tremendous in performance, content and diversity. It showed the strength of a woman and the struggle of balancing a responsible career and family obligations. I think it is a very positive and encouraging show for professional families and those aspiring to become professionals. It should remain on.

Geena Davis has done a tremendous job carrying this series! What I am displeased about is the noticable lack of interest by the network to support this show into the future. The show has been on hold for far too long to support other less interesting television programming. This series has a believable atmosphere, shows true governmental hostilities between rivalry parties, and a symbolism of the unfair treatment to women which still riegns supreme in this world today. It is only sad that the network has not taken Geenas crisp productive idealism(s) seriously and given the show the level of hype needed to gain serious ground i.e. one moment Geenas winning a Golden Globe, the next shes in the verge of being canned. The end to this show could be a good fore-warning for the first future female president.

Commander In Chief, despite its sadly sagging ratings, offers some or all of the only ingredients which make a television show worth viewing and returning to something to think about something to question something to smile at, laugh at loud at, snicker at something to cringe about excellent script, acting and plot believability,(recognizing that this is TV, not prognostications for 2008) something that models integrity, whatever the cost or outcome. For that alone, I am grateful we have had this drama on ABC and sincerely hope someone with more courage picks it up.

I must say that I enjoy this show thoroughly and was very, very upset when it was pulled temporarily. Now to hear the rumors that it is possibly being pulled from there air after the last 3 episodes in June depresses me. Although I could truly understand how it got lost in the ratings with the poor advertisement as well as the series that it was placed up against in the ratings...CSI and Without A Trace are all TOP shows that no show has come up against and won the ratings over. I mean seriously not even the great American Idol could pull any real ratings from CSI and now that it is at the end it still doesnt pull attention away from Criminal Minds which is on as well during the first 30 minutes of the results on Wednesdays.

I would not vote for Hillary Clinton should she dare run for the sacred office of President. But I think that Commander in Chief is one of the few clean shows on tv today that one can have confidence to watch. Geena Davis is a good actress and plays her part well. She exumes alot of strength and I admire her alot. Please do not take this show off the air. To me it kinda seems like this show feels like what it may seem like in real life for the first family. Its hard, but one can do it. We all have stuff we have to deal with, but we can make it if we try. Again, please do not take this show away. Thank you, Kathi J Peacock

Having come from a family who is as politically active as they come and having done undergraduate work in National Security Advisory and Foreign Policy Analysis, I do know a few things about the real office of the President and national leadership. I am going to be really blunt about this series... bad, stupid, poor... you can fill the rest in yourself. Despite the fact that the series boasts some decent-to-good acting talent, the premise is simply a West Wing copycat with writers who should be handed their hats and coats. The lines are ridiculous and the knowledge and research behind episode plotlines and the reality of national politics and leadership are non-existent. Do not waste your time on this one.

It takes courage to go from movie star, and believe me, this lady is a movie star in every sense of the word, to TV star. Its always a gamble. This lady has real life courage and that is exactly what comes across in her character as the first female President of the United States. Geena plays her character with razor-sharp precision without becoming a Hillary Clinton cartoon. Moreover, the character loses none of her feminity. Geena Davis insists that her character continue to parent and mother her children and be wife to her husband without compromising the welfare of the people of the United States. TV and movies, for the sake of the almighty dollar, long ago forgot that what the public wants to see is ART on film. Geena Davis takes the viewer on a journey for an hour every week which brings the art of acting, drama, good writing and sensitive interpretation of the authors words back to the screen. Well done, Geena!
