Date  Helpful Rating 1 out of 2 users found this helpful  greatest epicPosted: 8/14/2003A review of Cleopatra by kronos1033 .Despite some quick (and weak) model shots the overall impresion one gets seeing this film in a theatre in it's super wide screen format is Super Epic.<br>Each seen is a delight to the eyes, and each line is "ear delisious". The only reason for the giant cost over run, was the studio's attempt to film it in london. (fog and cats required re-filming in a new location. Too bad they don't make films like this anymore, at least a film like this would make you feel confortable paying those $10 plus ticket prices. Like most great films, Cleopatra doesn't show well on the small screen. Too bad, because unless it's re-released at some large theatre someday, this generation will never have the opportunity to understand what "great" filmaking can be.<br>I'm sorry to find that my nephews and nieces only find the modern "TV show" movies to be entertaining, hopefully some big director will "sneak out" a great film like this some day and give this generation a much needed treat! <br><br>kronos Was this review helpful? Her life was presented well as so many noble rulers .... ELIZABETH TAYLOR IS CLEOPATRA IN MY EYES AND IN MY HEART ..... THIS WHY I LOVE EPICS ....... THANKS RAVEN/ NOW GO RENT OR BUY THIS MOVIE .
