A priest in the quiet town of Dunwich commits suicide by hanging himself and all Hell literally breaks loose. There are flesh-hungry zombies roaming the town, the priest (who had sold his soul to Satan) comes back to life and causes people to regurgitate their intestines and other internal organs and all manner of other gruesome goings-on. The atmosphere of the film is genuinely creepy and the special effects are really gross. The music score is also pretty good for this type of film. Back to the plot, now. A reporter and a psychic who had visions of the gates of Hell opening head for Dunwich to try and stop the mayhem from spreading elsewhere.
