Sign in 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  nooooooooooooooooooo!! !Posted: 7/21/2006A review of Cheaper by the Dozen 2 by bella-belle-beautiful-free well first of i would like to say that i loved the first one...but cheaper by the dozen 2 in my point of view was a ripp off....firstly because the first cheaper by the dozen was a family flic but in the second one..not so much.i belive this because in the second there is dating ....i am not talking about the older teens but im talking about sarah baker.. who .in my opinion is too young to be dating...also finally i do not agree with some lessons in the story,such as stealing,dating at a young age , being jelous and overly competitive , finally not trusting your parents...thought hilary duff did look awesome!!!going to c her concert on july 26!!!!!!!!!!! Tom Baker and his wife, Kate who head to Lake Winnetka with their 12 kids for a family vacation. But their time off becomes anything but relaxing after they engage in a competition with rival dad Jimmy Murtaugh.
Cheaper by the dozen 2 is a fine movie the first one was a little bit better it was funnier. Cheaper by the dozen 2 is not as funny the director went for hart warming instead of comedy it worked by it was not as good. You will get some laughs and some chuckles and thats it.
It seems that a lot of the stars that were in the first movie really did not want to have big parts in this movie. Hilary Duff had a big part in the first one but now her part is real small, it is like she did not want to be in the movie.
Cheaper by the dozen 2 I think was more about revenge for the two charters Tom and Jimmy Steve Martin and Eugene Levy. While the first movie was about family.
This movie did not do as good as the first movie did in the box office. So we might not see a Cheaper by the Dozen 3

See when my friend suggested that we go watch this movie, I remember I was whining non-stop to myself because I didnt think it would be nice.
But then I watched it and for all the silliness and stiff jokes that people claimed that it had, I actually liked it. Yeah I guess I must be silly and stiff as well...damn right! Hahaha...well but it was a movie that I actually laughed my way through. First of all I was surprised as to how much I actually enjoyed it and then the characters. See when I heard that Carmen Electra was going to play some trophy wife, I thought it was going to be some ditzy character like weve seen from a certain reality tv series. Hem hem. Cough!
But surprisingly, her character had heart and warmth and actually spoke a lot of sense in the more serious parts of the movie. Another surprise was that the casting was pretty vast. I didnt know Jonathan Bennett and Jaime King were in it and I thought they did pretty great jobs with their characters.
Another surprise was how often certain characters, like Hilary Duffs Lorraine and Tom Wellings Charlie would go missing in pivotal scenes, like the last one when the Baker kids are looking out the window at their parents dancing on the floating platform. Hmm...I wasnt too pleased with the disappearing and then reappearing of those 2 actors.
But overall, it was a nice fun time at the cinema. And youre welcomed to beg to differ. Was this review helpful? and dont be anal because u dont like one of the actors or actressess that are being filmed because this movie is at its best with each character playing.

It is aimed more for younger kids and parents more than adults and teens. The comedy is funny but not as funny as the first movie.
