Good but slightly predictable story. But in all honesty did we really not want to see Ben Calder end up with Anna Foster? We would have been horribly disappointed if they didn't hook up.
Great casting. Liked Mandy Moore who is just getting better and better. Matthew Goode was great, very gorgeous and he CAN act! - very believable. Loved his dialogue - so very British! If only I'd run into him when I was in Europe ...
Really liked Jeremy Pivens hip hop rap and the other love story involving him. Great scenery - if you've been to those places it makes you want to go back all over again. Loved the music too - especially the techno in the Love parade scenes. It worked in really well with the feel of the movie.
All in all a nice feelgood funny and uplifting movie, but probably guys are not going to like it as much as girls. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  intellegent mathewPosted: 12/26/2004A review of Chasing Liberty by swingfreak1 the movie was highly addictive..I watched it many times and that rarely happens to me..the romance I guess..great tour to Europe, especially if you actually have been to those wounderfull places..mathew goode was believable, unartificial and quite passionate..besides the good looks..i thought mandy was too stiff when he confessed his love to her..her face didn't change not even with a smile..apart from this scene and the way she runs..she did pretty good..oh and did anyone notice that the way mathew walks is a little weird, however he does all kinds of small hidden facial jestures that are well thought of,and his vocal intonation is very Shakesperian..classy accent which to me lifted the movie from teenage romance to family type of entertaintment..finally there was a good sense of humer in the movie, from the hebrew hiphop to cus cus..hope to see more of mathew.. First it was a job for him and on the end he fell in love with Anna (Mandy Moore). On the end he even quit being a secret agent and Anna went to London, to find him. Nice story about a presidents daughter and how she needed a little freedom. Nice comedy and I think Matthew Goode did a good job, liked his accent and they both made a cute couple. I hope we see more of Matthew Goode.<br>I loved the movie the first time I watched, it something on Matthew Goode, it just makes me watch the movie over and over again. I bought the movie and I need to say I watch it almost every day. Just can't get enough of it. Matthew Goode has a cute accent and his eyes are like magic, it just hooks me to watch the movie over and over again.<br>I tried to get a soundtrack for the movie, but nobody has it here in Colorado. Was wondering if there is a soundtrack to the movie, would love it, music was great in the movie, I loved it. Was this review helpful? The first family goes over to Prage for diplomatic duties, once there Ana ditches them and escapes with the unknown motorist named Ben Calder(Mathew Goode)she finds outside a club. In her journey to independency from her father, Ana and Ben travel all thoughout Europe, including countries like Germany, Venice and Austria.The views presented in the movie are expectacular and breath-taking.But as i said before, the story is a little predictable: The boy will get the girl in the end. The movie is however worth seeing: The cast rises above the expected idiotic plot and make this movie completely charming. Moore is charmingly cute, Goode is charmingly hot and the aforementioned settings are charmingly romantic.<br>In my opinion Chasing Liberty is the perfect chick flick and first date movie. His hair, his eyes, his body well everythiung. I watched the movie 5 time all to see Mathew over and over. I witch he can kiss me like that. I like his performance very much.
