Is it just me, or do lesbians look more beautiful than straight women? If thats true, then theres no hope left for any guy, like me. Some straight women are ugly, but then again, no ones perfect. But the reason for my four star rating is because this movie was sad, and Im not that much of a Ben Affleck fan, but I do love his movies, such as Daredevil. Enough of my rambling. If you havent seen this movie, go to Movie Gallery and rent it. Its worth the rental fee, because its funny, sad, and Kevin Smith says a lot of things in this movie, being that its the only movie he ever said the most. That, and plus, I loved the story he told about how he was chasing Amy. This movie rocked, but it was a little depressing, even though its a comedy. Peace easy. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful damn good moviePosted: 10/22/2004A review of Chasing Amy by No_use_for_a_name1491 dude, what the hell cralled up dr.gold's ass but what ever dude. um... damn that was a good movie, and this comming from a guy? what the hell, Kevin Smith is an excelent wrighter, this movie touched base with me, cause is a way I have been 'chasing Amy' but anyhoo, this is just a great movie, with a great message, and u know its kinda nice to have a semi serous movie in the same line of movies with "Mallrats" and "Clerks". its an exclent movie, 5 stars, and Dr. Gold remove what ever is lodged up you ass, Alyssa does not need a face lift. But God, I just, I couldn't allow another day to go by without just getting it out there". I believe that says it all, really. If anyone ever made a comment like this to me, I would immediately start making out with the next person who walked by just to make them feel bad for letting loose such trite crap out of their mouths. Why would I even want to "hang out" with someone who wishes to butcher the English language in such a profane and desecrating manner? Kevin Smith is the most overrated jackass of my generation. He goes a long way to proving that we may be the dumbest group of phonies that ever collected on the planet Earth. That being said, he is the master of inflection. He knows what jokes sound like, he just doesn't know the words to use to actually make them funny. This is probably why he fills in most of them with a litany of words only a Tourette's patient could truly appreciate. Sadly, this is not even his worst effort. Was this review helpful? A realistic portrayal of modern romance where Kevin Smith throws away the butterflies and flowers of stereotypical boy meets girl movies. This film easily shows that all is not fair in love and war and despite the straight/gay theme, viewers of all sexualities can relate to the relatioship between Holden and Alyssa.
