It may not be full of sex or violence but definetly worth the ticket price. Being that this is based on a true story is what makes it. Leonardo deserves an award, not just a nomination. At times he really does look too young, but overall since the character he portrays was young, it works. Go see it....read the book too. Especailly because some actors who play wonderful roles were in the movie. Leonardo Dicaprio did a wonderful job forging all those checks, and becoming everyone he never would be. The story was funny in an ironic kind of way, but what was even more funny was that a crimal became a necessity to everyone. The bond that was formed between the ";crook"; and the ";cop"; was phenominal. They became each others reason for living. It is a must see. That fact that it is true, makes it wonderful. Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio shine in this flick. Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 3 users found this helpful  way too longPosted: 12/26/2002A review of Catch Me If You Can by serendipity1222i this movie was 2 and 1/2 hours long and probly couldve been condensed into a much shorter time.The plot was kindda dull,the acting was great however.Id go see any movie that has Christopher Walken in it......and so ,just because of the cast i guess i'd have to say.....wait till it comes to blockbuster video and then definitely go check it out!!!If you choose to see it in the theater,dont sweat it if you have to take a couple bathroom breaks...you wont miss much!! I liked the con man/docu style. Hanks is great. The wimp of the decade, DiCapprio, blows tuna chunks as usual; if I ever see DiCapprio in a dark alley,I'll shake every dime Iv'e wasted, taking a gal to the show to see him. What a pathetic, limp wristed, pencil necked geek. Leonardo is once again miscast. Try a movie about a momma's boy trying to act like a man and you'll have the perfect lead. Was this review helpful? The acting was horrid, the plot was less than par, and the screenplay...my god, what screenplay. This movie is spielberg at his worst. I laughed throughout and was always wondering what was next. The flow of the story is amazing. Everything wraps up nicely in the end, too. I enjoyed it very much, and would recomend it to everyone. The actors played a great part in making this movie great. Dicaprio played a young 18 year old very well. I also loved the scene in which Dicaprio was walking through the airport with 8 ladies.
