Casablanca is a study into both the Good and Evil of man as well as that murky line between, and leaves us unsure which side our leading man falls on. It's a tale of both love and war. The love comes through without a lurid scene, and the war is made vivid without the blood and violence through brilliant acting on the part of the cast. The script helps you feel the desperation of the times and the musical score makes you want to fall in love again. You are led through the experiences of joy, sorrow, fear, and triumph in a way that you actually experience them along with the characters.

This is a movie which I watch over and over again. It always moves me to tears. If you really love somebody, you should be able to let go. Love means sacrifice. Selfish love is in vain. Humphrey Bogart plays the tough ,romantic guy. Ingrid Bergman is one of the most beautiful women in the world.Together they make the perfect romantic couple. Humphrey Bogart says it all with his eyes, when he says,Nobody loved me like that. It is a mushy story (more for the girls). A must see for one and all,at least once in a lifetime.

The best movie ever made. The quintessential Movie. If you ever find yourself in the company of someone who thinks otherwise, stay away from them. They have no heart or soul.

Wow, where to start. Quite simply, this has to be the greatest movie ever made. Now realize that this is comming from me, an 18-year-old! I don't consider myself anything of a film expert, but I know a good film when I see one. It's hard to imagine that the part of Rick was originally scripted for Ronald Reagan, but Bogart's performance is flawless, as is Bergman's. I also find it somewhat ironic that it spawned a catch phrase that was never spoken verbatum in the film, but aside from that, wow. A lot of people may find the storyline somewhat dry by today's standards, but I love it. Plus, Dooley Wilson is still one of my favorite singers, what a voice. All of the actors have marvelous voices. Casablanca only gets better 'As Time Goes By' (neat little reference, eh?), and I highly reccomend it to anyone with a pulse and a soul. If you must see one more movie before you die, it doesn't get any better than Casablanca.

Bogart in a trench coat, smoke filled rooms, black and white photography, love triangle, excellent dialogue and the happiest "accident" of a movie in the history of American Cinema. These are just some of the elements that make CASABLANCA the finest example of everything that I love about movies. The American Film Institute of America has the film listed in the top 5 of the greatest films ever made and for good reason. A timeless classic that I hope generation after generation will discover again and again and again.....

What can be said about ‘Casablanca’ that hasn’t already been committed to paper? Timeless, eternal, magisterially conveying the emotional distress of love and war, ‘Casablanca’ stands on its own; a portrayal of a time for all times when darkness falls and the light of hope wanes to a flicker in our hearts.

This is what a complete movie is. One of the best screenplays I've ever seen and it moves like the wind, but misses nothing. Bogart and Bergman light up the screen with so much color and depth. ";Rick's Cafe Americain"; is the perfect backdrop for all the mystery, action and romance this film offers. I love Bogart's character, Rick, a no-nonsense nightclub owner who likes to drink alone all the while thinking of Ilsa (Bergman) and what once was. Obviously, a must see for any film enthusiast. I can't believe I'm the first to write a review on this movie!
