I really liked the songs & music in the movie and thought Richard Harris did a great job with both the acting & singing. Was this review helpful? An emotional film that doesn't fall short of the emotional expectations.Poor Arthur, torn between his beloved Camelot, his best friend and the woman he loves. . . will he be able to keep any of these? Sign In 5 out of 5 users found this helpful Camelot - The Movie MusicalPosted: 10/25/2002A review of Camelot by Moon_Wolf_ Having seen this movie as a teennager, when it first came out; I have to say I found it to be one of the very Best movies I had ever seen. I had felt that way about it for many years. Even today I enjoy the movie, but now days movies are done so much better that back in the 60's when this was made that it no longer has the sparkle it once had for me. I still enjoy the music from this movie and I still love Richard Harris as King Arthur. I thought Vanessa Redgrave was an excellent choice for Guinevre and even though I don't care for Franco Nero, I found him an excellent choice for Lancelot. Lance was supposed to be arrogant, and Mr. Nero pulled that off quite well. I truely do NOT agree with the review that was posted as a selling point for this movie, I think the reviewer must be very young to have posted what he did, again I must alude to the difference in the way movies are made now days and 30 years ago. This movie was a HIT back then, if it were to be presented today in a theatre I am not sure it would go over because the vast majority of viewers do not care for musicals any more and believe me this is a musical.
