This movie came out years before the series started and to be honest I didn't like the series because it wasn't like the movie. Eventually I started to like the series, after it was no longer showing new episodes, but I still like the movie way better. This movie is very hilarious and I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves good comedies. Was this review helpful? In fact, I am so obsessed with the television series that if the man himself (the man being Joss Whedon) is directing it, I know he did it right away by the camera movement. <br><br>I had learned of the movie after the television series, and when I did learn of it I was ecstatic. I tuned into the movie with high hopes that were quickly gone after the first half hour. I felt so very sorry for Joss Whedon at that moment because his vision was turned to crap by egocentric actors and a horrible crew. <br><br>The movie only gets one star for the single fact of Joss Whedon. Now that its not on any more I watch Angel I like that to wish they would put Buffy back in the show with Angel I think it would spice that show up a bit.Also think Willow would be good to bring back. She has to start learning how to be a slayer. After all she's a teenager who has no idea how to fight-and she dosen't want to be a slayer. His death scene was hysterical. Mr. Sutherland is a fine actor and this was way beneath him, as was Rutger H (can't remember how to spell his last name) Christie Swanson did much better in Chase, but as an actress she could use lessons.
