I love westerns, and Robert Duvall has the knack for playing his characters in a most believable way. If you think the West was tame at the turn of the 20th Century - watch this movie! Unfortunately, westerns arent made that often anymore, and when they are- only a very few are worth watching. Broken Trail finally quenched the thirst of many western fans. Not only was the story extremely well written, the acting was superb, and the locations where the movie was shot were breathtaking.
