This movie is sooo funny, especially when Bridget's friend runs into the restaurant when Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are fighting and says, 'fight!!! it's a real fight!!!!' A really good chick flick. At some points it's aggravating to see so many parallels without any recognition to Jane Austen's novel. Was this review helpful? The humour was the best, I beleive that every woman in Britain even America could relate to it as it was so true! Renee Zelwegger truly shined in the role, and as for the men of the movie they were gorgeous too! I read the books and I must say even the books are jsut as astonishing! Was this review helpful? She is so loveable you just want to hug her! Even though I would consider this a chick flick my son-in-law laughed all the way through this one. It is a movie I could watch once a week and not get tired of seeing. Was this review helpful? I feel that it is very much a girly movie, but I love it! A lot of woman I believe can relate to the character, Bridget. She proves that though many woman are looking for that perfect someone they're also having fun at doing it. Was this review helpful? She's in her 30's and not married with a mother trying to set her up right and left. There are two men that catch bridgets eye. The at first stuck barrister Mark Darcy and Her dashing handsome boss Daniel Cleaver. What at first seems right to bridget ends up taking a big turn at the end. So who will she pick to be with? You'll have to find out yourself. Was this review helpful? It's one of the best comedies (not just romantic comedies) ever and the movie has even become my absolute favorite. Those brits really do know how to make comedies. I saw the movie before I read the books, but the film is just as funny as the books. Can't wait to see more of Colin Firth in "Bridgette Jones: The Edge of Reason." It's coming out in the spring and it should be great! Was this review helpful? It was funny, easy to watch and it makes you just feel good. It's not deep and doesn't make you think too much. It was extremely enjoyable and I can't wait to see the sequel. Was this review helpful?
