When I went back to watch it later in life I was worried that it wouldnt be as entertaining as I thought it had been when I was 10.
I was pleasantly surprised! The movie had held up as an adult, and in fact quite a few more jokes were apparent that went over my short little head years ago.
Anything but torpid (as the author of the MSN article on Pryors death described the movie), I found the pace brisk and the movie never lost my interest.
If you like Richard Prior or John Candy give this movie a shot, you may be as pleasantly surprised as I was. Was this review helpful? In an article featured on MSNBC, a writer called this and some of my other favorite Pryor movies torpid. I disagree.
Brewsters Millions is a classic in my book. Richard Pryors comedic timing paired with a creative story line worked together to create a hilarious movie.
I would highly recommend this movie, especially for fans of the late Richard Pryor. Was this review helpful? I wondered how I would do that when I saw this as a kid, but nowadays, it's much easier than when that movie was made...:-p...pretty cool...check it out... Was this review helpful?
