Then came Borat; he pushed the envelope bodering on crass with the long utterly useless naked fight scene but it was okay. This one is not worth watching even on DVD.

I’m shocked that both the critics and the viewers gave it three out of five stars - well when you‘re forced to give it at least one star to continue, which is a big joke in itself, I can see how it rated higher then it should have.
I went to see it with my ex-wife and there were a total of five people viewing it - two couples and one solitary person - and it was opening night for the movie.
The person that was alone left about midpoint in the film, and we left about twenty minutes after he did. I’ve only walked out of one other movie in my life (I’m a young seventy) and I’ve seen a lot of flicks in my time.
So, I give this a rating of zero stars and I’m being generous at that. Was this review helpful? It seem like it tried too hard to be funny, and it failed miserably. All this and I do enjoy crude humor. HA! deserves less than full star.

Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful HorrendousPosted: 7/20/2009A review of Brüno by Unremarkable Now, while Ali G segments themselves have been known to be quite funny -- and I myself did enjoy such Bruno segments -- this movie was horrendous. The few segments that were funny seemed flimsy, and didn't really feel..funny. The thing is, the movie's so bad..you can sit and laugh at it for that, and that will literally be one of the few things in the movie to laugh about; the movie itself.
If there were a lower rating, I would give it a .2, because honestly, it is one BAD movie. Possibly one of the worst I've ever seen. If there's a suggestion I can give, it's this: when the DvD comes out, don't buy it, or even rent it. The movie isn't worth it. Believe me. It isn't. Was this review helpful? Thing is, Bruno segments on Ali G show were actually quite funny. What he did here wasnt NEARLY as funny as those segments. If you were gonna do a top 10 Bruno Segments, maybe 9 of them would be from ALI G or YouTube, and Ill give maybe ONE to this movie (the child model parents agreeing to put thier kids through stupid things.)

I am a big Ali G fan and thoroughly enjoyed "Borat," but this film was completely unwatchable. I am quite surprised that the studio agreed to distribute it. Wish I could get my money back, only went because my GF thought it was a Gay Fashionista thing, she wouldn’t listen to me, (as usual.) This guys a major clown, but as long as nitt witts, (like myself) pay to watch his movies he’ll continue making this dreck. What group of people did he forget to insult ? NOT glad I went. I'd say another handful walked out 3/4th's of the way through. Truly a sorry excuse for a movie. It was rediculous segments and clips poorly connected together.
