Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Just a perfect villian.Blade is one of those movies in my collection that I watch fairly frequently. Yes it's just an all around great flick to begin with, but Steven Dorff's, Deacon Frost, was brilliant. <br> I like comic books, and though never really following Blade exstensively, I versed myself on most any and all superhumans. As to who they are, there oragins, capabilities, freinds/foes, and have read atleast a few of most here and there. And as for comics involving Blade, where as Deacons attitude and general concept made him a cool villian, he lacked big time. Always drawn poorly, not very cool looking, vicious, or even very motivated when all was said and done. Not so in the movie. Stephen Dorff made Deacon Frost the Overboard Cool, viciously tenacious, tear their throught out first ask questions later that I always felt deep down he was. Bravo Mr. Dorff,... For the first time since Thanos of Titan gained possession of the Infinity Gauntlet in the Infinity War of 1993, was I really routeing for the bad guy/villain, and yes, (even though I knew it was inevitable) was very disappointed when he lost. I think the writers did a fair job at making the movie somewhat believable, as in it's character's. I think that Blade's inner struggle was presented well, which added to the tension and drama to the story. I think this movie is a good example of decent story-telling combined with respectable computer-generated action to make for a enjoyable movie experience. I would highly recommend this movie to any action/kung-fu buffs or to anybody who enjoys a good vampire movie. I also think that this movie was a minor step in opening the door to the idea that movies based on lesser known comic characters can be successful (i.e. the recent arrival of Daredevil).
