But in saw it evenutally some time later and it blew me away. Its just a simple story that has a big heat. the acting is sweet not to mention teh talent of keira knightly who would have been 16 at the time. I recommend this movie to all as i truley love it, it deffently comes inot my top 5-after lotr and pirates of teh caribbean of corse!!! Was this review helpful? Its has drama and action mixed with a good amount of comady ( not the stuff u luagh at cuase its juts soo stupid. The part at the beginning was quite funny and it was like an introduction saying that Jess wants to be a football player for England and especially wants to meet David Beckham. Then the next plot is when she watching the footie on the telly and you can see clearly see from her wall that shes a fan. Even when Juliet walks in she looks a bit surprised. My best part of the movie would probably be when Joe and Jess kiss its so romatic and i was waiting for it especially when they were in Hamburg that was a bit annoying.I didn't really find anything bad about the movie it was wicked. "Bend it like Beckham" showed great cultural aspects of real life situations that young people still face even today from their parents. It also showed a brilliant soccer side of it and drama.I think watching movies that show real life situations are a great way to let people see how hard it is for second generation children.Parminder K.
