The story is terrible and painfuly onesided. The Serbs are bad guys and period. Cmon...its not all in special efects (which by the way was not so good..take for example the chase with ground to air rockets with that F-18 ), there is something in the story too. This is typical U.S. movie...WE ARE GOOD GUYS ALL OTHER ARE EVIL!!! Yeah right... Was this review helpful? Gene Hackman was perfect for this role after his performance in Crimson tide as the captain opposite Denzel Washington. Owen Wilson did a great job acting, playing the role of a cocky Naval Flight Officer. This film is great at demonstrating what it would be like if a naval aviator were to be shot down behind enemy lines. though in real life everything would be done to bring them home. strongly reccomend this film. Im glad the film makers were able to work with the Navy I thought the scenes on the ship and the scenes of the F-A 18 Super Hornet really made the movie a alot better. Great special effects with the missle you wont be dissapointed Was this review helpful? the actors did very well
and i realy liked the photogrophy and the directing
its realy nice but it has one problem that i dont think the nato would sacrifice
3 copters and a crew to save one man!!

There are many "fair weather friends" in NATO that use the U.S. to serve their own purposes when necessary and this movie shows that. Owen is powerful as a dramatic actor. This is his stongest roll ever. The entire cast and crew are all top notch. The filming is supurb. You get it all. Action, emotion, humor, reality. In my personal opinion,i think the movie's really good,as it gives a good insight on the incidents that are happening that relate to violence and blood-shed. It also shows one's love for their country(Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson). Now,I will talk about the movie within. The acting is really good(from both Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson).The special-effects are exhilirating. But the thing that stands the movie out,is the action, and how its filmed. The slow motioning of the action scenes make it really good. My best bit in the movie waz the chase involving the F-something and the misile. What is the deal with Wilson? He's trying to play a sarcastic rude boy. Its lame. There is no story line - guy flys over restricted air space, guy gets shot down, guy runs for life, guy gets mucked about by own country guy, gets saved by OAP trying to show hes not all about rules.
