I could identify with the main character and will admit to thumbing online myself to see what might be available for one of my children in particular. If I were going to go overboard one way or another, it would definitely be on the side of loving my child too much and trying to help them rather than making no attempt at all. Most of the time, you are just spinning your wheels but at least you know you gave every effort to do something you thought might improve their lives, however misguided your ideas might seem.

I agree as in most movies the sex scenes were useless and did not positively influence this movie and porn of much better quality is easily available on the internet than these useless scenes which are also offensive to many and enjoyable to none. I give the movie a 4 for stimulating the thought processes of caring for others (your children in this case) and the tough decision of how much to help and when to back off. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Becuase I Said NOT To!Posted: 6/4/2007A review of Because I Said So by kent521 Mandy Moore exudes a sweet, quirky, hapless, innocent vibe in this performance ... my issue is not at all with her performance, her character, or even the ending (she does end up with the 'right guy'), however, this movie could have been so much more! The movie was really more about the overly neurotic mom who was difficult to feel any kind of empathy for whatsoever ... maybe Dianne Keaton was fun in the 80's as a career woman trying to manage a baby, but all love for her is lost in this picture. Hopefully one day, Ms. Moore will get the shot that she deserves to act in a great movie (with a budget) with a great script and great co-stars. Was this review helpful? This was the dumbest movie and made me gag at the sight of Diane Keaton in her underwear! That whole scene with her looking at porn on her computer and the dog humping was the absolute low point. This is definitely not a movie for kids or young adults, despite what other reviews say. Mandy Moore should just give up acting and stick to singing.

What place does this have in a movie? Much less one that is rated pg-13, not to mention all the other sexual material. Why are movies that have a good clean story to them so far and few between. I wasnt quite for sure about going to see this movie, but my aunt had suggested to me to go see this movie and that it is a good movie. And it is a chick flick movie. Also, I would suggest to everyone that this movie is for younger people that are in their 20s or older. I thought that all of the actors did an amazing job. I absolutely loved Gabriel Macht and that he did an amazing job and was very cute in this movie. I would suggest one thing is that you need to go and see this movie. Was this review helpful? I love Lauren Graham as an actress but it seemed like she held back a little too much. I would go see it if I were you but dont take children. It is not appropriate for anybody under at least 15. You are never to young to find love, and its wonders and butterflies are never dampened by age. Gabriel Macht had a dreamy Johnny Depp air about him. He was so cute and wonderful! Mandy Moore was loveable and relatable. Diane Keaton was beautifully nutty.
I highly recommend this movie, i wasnt bored for a second. Do not see this movie for a super intelligent, thought-provoking film. Never has there been a more predictable movie plot. The only surprise was the lack of class shown by any of the characters in the movie. I am glad that we all can go out and date multiple people behind each others back and have the blessings of our mother and sisters. If the roles were reversed would any of the mothers and daughters thought this was a cute romantic movie, be sympathetic toward a guy who was just having sex with two girls for as long as possible with no intention of choosing one. My mom did not raise me like that. I guess thats why my parents are still married after 30 years. Cheating doesnt count when your mom knows about it I guess, so save your money because I said so!
