This tape is the first tape in Barneys career. Its also the first tape in the Barney and the Backyard Gang series.
Pros.
The songs are catchy and the idea of the gang flying in their swimming pool was cool.
Cons.
The beach could have been more realistic. I felt some of the scenes were rushed, like the underwater scene. The mermaid was cool, but it only appeared for like 3 minutes. Two songs underwater (Swimming, Swimming and Theres a hole in the bottom of the sea) just isnt enough.
Conclusion
It was a good start for Barney and ,of course, since this was his first tape, there is going to be some terrible imagery. However, with Barney on screen its less noticable. I give this 4 stars.
