The plot didnt really ever develop. The ending was sh*tty. There was a good deal of action though. Vin Deisel is good in the movie as well as the young girl and her guardian. How would you look? I appreciate the fact that this movie didn't go too "Hollywood" and put a bunch of man make up on him. This isn't to say that Babylon A.D. is a great movie...because it isn't. Yes, it's entertaining, violent and has some good action sequences, but somehow you leave feeling it should have been more satisfying. I would recommend Children of Men to anyone who might see this. If you're looking for action Vin Diesel style this movie is for you, but wait until it reaches the shelves of your local video store. I expected a better effort considering Vin has been on an extended break for these type of flicks. Was this review helpful? There are times where mysticism takes root so unapologetically that pragmatism kicks back hence violently concussive. Thankfully, fantasy never overrides the simple pleasure of traditional drama in this film, comedy and tragedy maneuver amusingly throughout the fantastical elements that rapidly become moot points in the story. I find that because Babylon A.D. has fewer departures from actual reality the times that do are that much more transfixing; it is akin to “Jihad VS McWorld” in the sense of present futurism. In due course, humanity is sought after and that logic is never lost in this film. Was this review helpful?
