If you love movies like movies like the Wedding Crashers, 40-Year--Old Virgin, and others like, you will definitely enjoy this. I yelled with laughter! Make sure to watch the bonus clips (deleted scenes) because some of them should have made it in the film. Was this review helpful? Tina Fey and Amy Puehler were both as funny as the previews let on, but that was the extent of it. I was also somewhat disappointed with the too perfect ending where all the conflicts in the movie are so perfectly resolved.
Going into the movie, i assumed this was a tina fey creation. Now that i have found it wasn't, i guess that gives me atleast somewhat of an explanation.
Cute movie to rent, but no side splitting humor by any means. Was this review helpful? The previews were extremely misleading and I can't believe it received such high critic reviews. Thank goodness my husband and I used a gift card to purchase the tickets, otherwise we would have demanded our money back after the first 15 minutes! This movie is a waste of time and money. While it had a couple of funny parts, it was mostly pushing feminist agenda: a single female executive getting a baby out of petri dish. I thought it was funny and endearing. Tina and Amy have always been funny together and this is no exception. The theater was full and the other viewers were laughing out loud. A good time was had by all and isn't that why we go to a comedy? It was a great way to relax on a rainy afternoon. Was this review helpful? One of the best endings I've seen in movies for quite some time. Loved it....look forward to seeing more SNL cast members teaming up if they do this good of a job! Thanks again for the great movie! I found it to be OK but not especially funny or interesting. You can guess the plot and ending. Amy's behavior could have been more over-the-top and maybe that would have kept the theater awake. Not bad but nothing that will generate a lot of word of mouth momentum. Throw in close ups of the birth like a Judd Apatow film to appeal to the guys or something. Was this review helpful?
