Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  enough already!I just walked away from this movie. I don't watch very many movies. When I do take the time to sit and do nothing, I want to be entertained, moved to tears, provoked into philosophical thinking or at the very least, relaxed. This movie is neither thought provoking nor interesting... but it does move me to tears- of disgust. I am a mother, wife, cousin, etc... Yes, many of us go through difficult times and our choices do have consequences; however, I do not make excuses for people who knowingly make stupid decisions- like shooting a rifle at a vehicle, taking illicit drugs, getting into a car with a drunk driver who is reckless. We see enough of this crap on the TV news- or I would if I watched it- and I cannot be convinced to sit through some propoganda film about the plight of the depressed teen, the stupidity of a misguided youngster, or the poor migrant worker. Pardon my political incorrectness. Now, I will not see the end of this movie because I refuse to waste any more of my time on it, so if I ended up missing the point- then shame on them! Dosent anyone watch the film as it is being filmed? Someone had to know that this movie was bad BEFORE they finished filming.
Brad Pitt is still making bad choices in his life! Since Angelina- He isnt allowed to do a SEXY movie! Or a better script than her!! Who wears the pants in this relationship!!

Could have been much better. TERRIBLE MOVIE. Seems to me that professional critics are primarily looking for movies that are disjointed or as non-linear as possible. The principles of telling a good story is and shall always be fundamental. I kept waiting for the movie to tie itself together...Never Happened. Goes against all of the rules of telling a story. If all stories were expressed in this manner Mr. Hartl would not have a job because there would be no movie industry. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful babelPosted: 3/8/2007A review of Babel by letdownmoviegoer this movie has alot of potential to be a very good film. i kept waiting for the dramtic scenes to start although i never saw any. i wanted the ending to be something that ties the movie together and it did the total opposite, and leaves you feeling very unsatisfied. i wouldnt say this movie was a waste of money, maybe a waste of time? its interesting and does you glued only because you keep waiting for something good to happen. this movie was a huge let down to me. i could of done without seeing a small child performing a sexual act on himself. I cant believe all the hype. If this is the best that Hollywood can do, then we may as well stay home and watch TV.
The best acting was done by the supporting foreign actors not the American actors. I saw this at a theater before the Academy Awards, and wanted to walk out, especially during the loud and long disco scene with the drugged-up Japanese teenagers, but kept hoping for some redemption at the end... alas, it was not to be. But since MSN is so democratic with their ratings, I could not do the one and only thing I wanted to do with this movie, which was to give it no stars whatsoever. This is such a sorry excuse for inhumane torcher upon Americans and to all those that hate us. How is it possible that the people who nominated this movie for an Oscar could even see that it supposedly looks like an idiotic independent film? Hands down, this movie is seriously pathetic. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Remember the Biblical Tower of Babel?Great movie save the child nudity. It actually got me thinking of the so many confusion in this world. Why so much misplaced priorities? The hunter could connect with the guide but not with his daughter! The younger brother did not realize how much he loves his brother until he lost him to the overbearing trigger happy police who shot an unarmed citizen (a child ) in the back. Many morals from Babel but I pray we all take a clue from this and make the world a better place for all. Isnt is it really a mad mad world? Was this review helpful? This movie really makes you think, and if you dont think while you watch it, then you will hate it because things are not just spoon fed to you. It is easy to understand if your willing to use your brain. After you watch and reached an understanding of the film, you wont be able to wait to watch it again.
