If this movie gets people to read the book then it will be a success in my eyes. You can't go wrong reading any of Ayn's stuff, she was a potent, vital and principled woman.

Have read it continusously, once a year for years and each time I get a different view. Dagney Taggert will be a tough cookie to play, and I do believe that Ms. Jolie has all the gumption and smarts to portray this lady. Im interested in who will play Francisco, Rearden, and Jim Taggert?

I cannot wait for this movie, and I think that Angelinas beauty makes her the perfect Dagny, however, Angelinas personal altruistic goals are almost contradictory to the philosphy of the book. Nevertheless, I applaud her selfless devotion to what she believes, and I will be in the theater on opening night.
If you havent read the book, now is a great time. (You know the book is always better than the movie!) -) Was this review helpful? Your vision about world issues is so small I feel pity and anger listening to ignorant people like you.
Pity for seeing so many like you around, and anger for listening the stupidity comes from your mind about certain issues.
Movies are just entertainment - This is rich information for you.
Life itself is the real issue. Angelina voluntarily helps needy people - She provides financial and moral support for those around her.
Money from her fame provides great life for her with the family, and to keep going on her journey.
You should also travel around the world, maybe your heart will be so deeply affected you will find some purpose in your life.
You might be doing something greater than writing stupid notes about movies and the people that take part on them...

(a double edged sword) Very valuable but very dangerous.

Dont forget she is the same fertile Fegan (the influential dude in Oliver Twist who acquired poor kids) who recently cut brads old mom Jane Pitt out-- dropping family members being a sign, along with self-slashing and rapid image changing, of Borderline Personality Disorder, that illness she shares with her idol, the Late Lady Di, whose life she is currently channelling in her work in orphanages around the world--when Granny Pitt, unaware that Save-the-Planet-Organic-Only-Please fabrics, the reason behind the recent sartorial slackening of the Brangelina family, were being promoted the way Angelina likes to be....on her back....and Shilohs, dared to bring a pretty, pink, polyester baby dress with her to her granddaughters Anti-Christening or whatever was held in Namibia to celebrate Shilohs birth.
How Brads Mom didnt notice the ugly, shapeless, colourless duds Brad and Angelina and Shiloh wore on the planned-months-in-advance People Magazine cover prior to purchasing a baby gift was a gobsmacking insult to Angelina, apparently. How could Brads Mom inflict this terrible chemically-made-couturial Insult on the future of Shilohs earth? How dare she bring polyester to Africa? Didnt your people brief her, Brad, Angie must have screamed prior to throwing the wee baby dress back at the Senior Citizen. Suffice to say, Episode no. 200 in the life of a BPD sufferer.
Beyond Borders, plus the currently-being-filmed-movie about Daniel Pearl, murdered while working as a journalist in Pakistan, form at least the kind of body of work one would expect of the UN Ambassador for Refugees, Angelina Jolie. But Atlas Shrugged?....what are we to think of the decision-making Angelina goes thru prior to signing on for a film?
