I initially purchased Season One for $14.99 (great promotional idea) and was hooked after viewing it. Altlhough the premise is that it is about vampires, I think all will be presently surprised with the writing and acting which is demonstrative of this superlative series. Was this review helpful? I am horribly dissapointed that the show is cancelled . The best of cable and now no more.!!!The whole cast are extremely talented. The plots proved worthy to a show like no other. I personally can't get enough of the drama, horror, and comedy that comes with these shows. This show has an amazing cast and crew which make each and every show they created unforgetable. Personally, I think it is better than Buffy because I sometimes get bored watching Buffy and I don't get some of the plots in the show as much as I get the plot in Angel. In a time quickly being dominated by "reality" shows and overacted, overemotional, and overblown teeange angsty drama's, Angel was a beacon of inteligent and thought provoking entertainment. Angel went a step beyond Buffy and explored the darker side of life, the gray areas where the monsters are more humane than the humans at times. Joss Whedon creates increadably powerful characters, stories, and worlds. It is sad that the current tend in TV is toward mindless teen angst and ruthless un"reality" TV. <br><br> Was this review helpful? It was left as a cliffhanger and left us wanting for more. We can not believe how The WB could cancel a great show! It was full of comedy, drama, adventure , romance etc. It is a shame that tv stations have to follow neilson ratings as they do not go to everyones home, they have fallen to reality tv, which really isn't reality. So what is the difference between Angel & Reality? Angel is 10x's more enjoyable. The cast, crew and fans deserved better. There isn't enough space here to give all of our thoughts. It is loved by a lot of fans. Fans like me who watch it every week. If for some reason I can't watch it, I record it. I never, never ever miss 1 week.<br>Like me, ever fan should write the networks.
