I am not a Jenifer Lopez fan nor did I know who Jim Cavieli was. I came away from this movie with a respect for Jenifer Lopez as an actress and enamored with Catch,who is played by Jim Cavieli.<br><br> This movie captures so much with symbolism and lighting that it took several times of viewing it for me to catch all the details that the director painstakingly put into this picture.<br><br> The story is wonderful. The acting is great and I think this is a movie that has not recieved the kudos that it was due. I personally did not see it until 2003 when I caught it on HBO. This however prompted me to go out and rent the movie so I could watch it again. It was one of those movies that haunted me until I could see it again.<br>Now, I own the DVD.<br><br> Even though you know the story after you have watched it once, it is well worth watching again.<br>Bring a box of kleenex for the last half and enjoy Angel Eyes. I think it is one of the best movies J.Lo has been in. I also liked her in The Wedding Planner. Angel Eyes is a great movie I think, although it does have a lot of sad parts.I would recommend this movie to others because it is a kind of different movie, It has some good parts and some bad parts. The acting was powerful and the storyline believeable. It is a good movie for those who like a good cop movie with a love story line thrown in for good measure.Jennifer does a great job making the audience ";feel her pain"; throughout the movie, as she feels like she is the forgotten daughter after arresting her father for spouse abuse.Catch's character is a little too mysterious at the beginning, but it too gets better as the plot moves along.All in all, the movie was uplifting and definitely worth renting. Tissue was not sufficient to dry the tears, I had to use the Bounty. I was so moved by Caviezel's performance that I wrote a poem - His Eyes, His Song (copyright 2002) which is being published in my new book Interlude soon to be published on the internet. This particular poem was inspired by the bar scene when he played the horn for the first time since the accident.I have found that if I ever suffer from writer's block, I have only to watch a movie with jim performing to overcome it.
