I am waiting for Hollywood to switch the roles and produce a female protagonist swooping in to save the day of some poor sap working a 9-5 at some sweat shop.

Other than the rehashed main story line, the acting was quite superb by most of the cast. It always nice to see were todays superstars (Richard Gere and David Caruso)have ended up and were some stars have quickly faded (Lou Gosset Jr., and Debra Winger).

A nice, feel good movie to a couple can watch without all the unnecessary special effects in todays movies

I liked the plot, acting, and direction of this movie. It was a classic romance with excellent acting and direction. My favorite scene was the last where Richard Gere picks up Debra Winger at the factory and carries her out. I feel there are no flaws in the movie. It tells a complete story and the flow is well done. The first time I saw the movie I was impressed and I feel more so each time I see it. I have grown to see it as one of my favorite movies of all time as it is romantic but also portrays the characters in a realistic light with the ups and downs of love portrayed. I felt both Richard Gere and Debra Winger brought real depth and emotion to their characterizations.

Richard and Debra were great! This is one movie I will never forget. The whole plot of the movie has alot to do with why I'm so in love with this movie. Richard Gere has alot to do with that too, first time I had heard of him and seen him in a movie. My favorited of many scenes has got to be where Louis Gossett wants him to DOR and drills him to a breaking point, but he does not quit. And of course the closing scene where he picks Debra and they are off! What impact! for me that was. Till this day when I see this movie It still does it for me what it did for me many years ago. I watch this movie every chance I get (at 100 times so far).
