People make mistakes and this was quite ovious that the show was being rushed for time.. Leave her alone.. Find somthing else in this world to pick at, there is enough going on. Some thing so...minor made in to a mountian.. People are saying there is somthing wrong with her..shake your heads.. Paula if you read this ..
My Mother always told me..if people are talking about you, There lives are realy boring..At lest you have given them some thing to do... Was this review helpful? Yes the Beatles had so many hits to choose from, but with so many artists through the years, & so many great songs to choose from. I blame the producer, be it Simon or whoever chose to go that route. It is up to the contestants to choose the right songs, & set up that fit their style. I appreciate Simons blunt opinion, & most of the time agree with what he is saying in regards to the contestants, however to rip a singer who has actually performed well it seems sometimes for the sake of doing just that. Is it to help ratings for contraversy, or does he just drink tea from the wrong side of the bed sometimes?
Still enjoy watching,

I have been very disappointed with the public voting. I have totally agreed with the judges that this is a singing competition. There have been too many excellent singers that could have had more of a chance if some people hadnt been kept on due to stupid web sites encouraging foolishness!!
I hope the public gets serious in the next couple weeks and votes for the next AI due to their talent and abilities! Was this review helpful? People are too critical of the judges. Each judge is unique and its entertainment. I think Simon could be a little more tactful, but hes honest. Simon probably felt bad about making fun of the guy with the bug eyes, but I thouht the same thing when the guy came into the room.
Also, there are several young people that are employed now because of American Idol. Im sure the parents appreciate this. Was this review helpful? In a world where everyone wants this psychological boost of how great they are, if not in the traditional sense then in their own unique way, I find it rather refreshing to have someone (Simon) speak the honest truth... youre bad, real bad! Get another dream! We all want to be delusional about our abilities and who we really are but if you look in the mirror and see a skinny person but when you walk you feel stuff jingling then you are FAT... likewise if you are singing in the shower and the roaches in your apartment stay hidden, you cannot sing... Thanks Simon and sometimes Randy for keeping it real... Paula youre sweet but dont be such a hypocrite...this is not a building your self-esteeem show--if they cant sing, we dont care how sweet they are, they are all sweet to their mamas! However, when Simon Cowell ridiculed a young man on his face and his bug eyes, I found this to be totally appalling and inappropriate. Its one thing to say, Youre tone deaf or This is awful or you cant sing, but it is another to ridicule a persons appearance. I have been stricken with exotholmas, a thyroid eye disease whereby my eyes used to bulge and consequently I was blind for a period of time. Thanks to modern medicine I am no longer stricken by this illness. However, as mentioned on this show on numerous occassions, This is a singing competition and nothing more! Think about Stephen Hawking, one of the four most brilliant men of all times. Now he has Lou Gerhigs disease, and can only talk through a computer, and does the world ridicule and oppresse him! I hope we can open up our eyes and realize that even people with disabilities, have their strengths and should not be persecuted or oppressed any more!. Simon, you are an idiot. Open your eyes!. I would love to see all different generations compete. some of the best singers today are people like Tony Bennett. According to Idol if your over 28 you cant be great. Maybe the hosts of the show should be under 28 too, I bet then we would see them change and add some variety. Was this review helpful? I do not like it much when it comes to selecting who will stay and who will go. I dont think Simon has the right to be so critical at times and really wish they would find someone elset to take his place. Of course when you think in terms of a soap opera though and the bad guys I guess Simon is there to make you dislike him..... It is his job more than selecting someone. This is why I do not watch it often..... Was this review helpful? It is exciting and nerve wrecking to see who will remain and who at the end will win. Who can take the pressure and who cant.....Keep this show on. Our family watches it every week. These a__ monkeys aren't idols. They aren't even musicians. Show me one person on this show (including the judges) who truly writes and preforms their own quality music and I'll think twice about wincing every time I have to endure a commercial for this crap. There were a few favorites. The last two years I only enjoyed the beginning because the judges picked the winner and there was no suspense.

As for the accusations of prejudice, I am white but I thought the final two should have been Fantasia and LaToya, but the judges always favored Fantasia. I don't think the votes went against color; they went against the judges pick. Was this review helpful? We as a family get to be intertained and we get to give thumbs up or down we can disagree and agree but we all get to find out what America thinks the next day after all votes are cast.
Personally I love the show and look forward to it. It truely is a family show one which we love to either make fun or say Wow that was awesome. Keep up the good work Fox. Was this review helpful?
