I don't know which &*$#ed more the movie or the young actresses performance, she was so bland at delivering her lines she wasn't even trying and acting is not just crying on cue. In my opinion, this movie gives a bad name to country people everyone in this film seemed retarded.

The critics loved it, audiences hated it. The problem? The average movie goer is more interested in "Kill Bill" than in the brilliant "All the Real Girls", a realistically-acted portrayl of young love in a small southern town. I will admit that the film is slow and not flashy like most Hollywood blockbusters, but for anyone who's ever been in love at a young age, this should be a fantastic film for them.

I just got back from seeing this movie, which I dragged my mother to, because I heard it was such a good film & I love indies. There were about 10-15 of us in the theater, and we all absolutely howled with laughter b/c it was so completely bad. I hoped coming out of the theater that it was meant to be a comedy, because surely no one would really make a drama that is this lousy. I logged on to the net and read Roger Ebert and others' reviews of the film, discovered it WAS a drama, and that the reviewers loved it!! Were we at different films?First of all, the acting is very poor by most of the cast. Secondly, there is little to no character development. You feel nothing for these people. They come across like dumb hokies, and you're finding yourself laughing out loud at the lines. Did someone actually write this? It was embarrassing to see this movie. Save your money...don't see it.

A wonderful film that honestly depicts the drama of real, genuine love, and all of the rapture, pain and uncertainties that it brings.I loved “them”. Later I disliked him, disliked her, felt sorry for them, then despised her, and cried. A true roller coaster of emotions when one is trying to relate to a couple of unique characters presented brilliantly in this film. A film of many emotions for me, far more than a normal film, thus the high ratings on the emotional thermometer. Having grown up in the rural South, perhaps I related to some of the emotional aspects in this setting more than others … but I felt some very real pangs of joy, pain, longing, sorrow and eventually, real trust… although too late?I felt very strong performances by both “boy” and “girl” leads, as well as many of the other players. A fair amount of oddball and loving, but realistic friends and family members helped to round out the overall cast.Overall rating: Bravo!

ALL THE REAL GIRLS conveys more honesty in its duration than any other film I have ever seen. From the first frame to the very last, I believed everything that it told me and I felt everything that it was trying to say. The film portrayed the small town in an impecablly naturalistic and honest state. This film created characters out of the extraordinary eccentricities of every person within the small town- making each of them deservedly special. This film was extremely touching and beautiful. It was so genuine and so incredible that I am exhausted with trying to come up with enough words to describe it to someone, to anyone. I simply must suggest that for anyone who can see out of their everyday comfortable box and for anyone who wants to be introduced to some of the most incredible and genuine characters that they will probably ever meet- go and see ALL THE REAL GIRLS.

First of all I AM a bit biased, being that Paul is my cousin, but he is a wonderful actor. He brings a passion to this part that I know no one else could have done, even actors with more experience. The repor between Paul and his Co-star is magnetic. If you are a true movie buff you will enjoy this movie.

All the real girls was a refreshing change from the usual cliches most movies stuff down the audience' throat. Here, action is unexpected, scenes are surprising and thought provoking and the acting is very natural. I enjoyed the movie. Some of the scenes, particularly in the beginning were over long and others were over short, the rhythm took awhile to be established. The cinematography was gorgeous.
