This didn't really have that. The movie definately should've been set in space, like in Alien, or in the Jungle, like in Predator. Or both. But, no, it was set in the Arctic, the farthest thing from the jungle or space. Like in every crossover movie, there isn't a big fight scene until the end. The entire rest of the movie is just leading up to it. It raises our expectations so high that when we see the final fight, we are dissapointed. Why is it called Alien VERSUS Predator when they don't fight? It should at least be called, Alien MEETS Predator. Nobody cares about anything leading up to the Aliens fighting the Predators. It should've at least had Arnold or Sigourney Weaver. If you watch this, skip to the end. I give it a 3.2 out of 10.
Here's a list of crossovers that will most likely never happen, but should happen.
7. Indiana Jones meets Tarzan. The jungle avengers travel to Skull Island where they team up to fight the ultimate villain... King Kong. Or maybe the Smog Monster.
6. Godzilla vs. Gamera. Both should be in suits. Maybe toss in the Smog Monster just to spice things up.
5. Gremlins meet Critters. Notice how I said MEET. The Gremlins should team up with the Critters instead of fight them, and wreak MAJOR havoc together.
4. Freddy vs. Jason vs. Leatherface vs. Michael Myers. The ultimate serial killer showdown. Maybe Norman Bates could make a cameo.
3. Robocop vs. Terminator vs. Gort. The ultimate robot rumble. That'd be soooooo awesome. Even though Terminator would just Annihilate...
2. King Kong vs. Godzilla (A Remake). The new Peter Jackson King Kong, but still the old-fashioned man-in-a-suit Godzilla. Maybe throw in the Smog Monster for good measure.
1. The Smog Monster vs. The Blob. Woah. That'd be the coolest fight ever. In the end they should fuse together to create the Blog. Yeah... Was this review helpful? It was not as good as the ALIEN films and the PREDATOR film if you seen this and have not seen PREDATOR 2 and 1 , the alien movies you are going to love them! I must say that it was a litle too short (an extra twenty minustes would have been just fine) and there were only three Preds. Otherwise it was just excellent: well-thought and loads of action.... intersting to notice that the Predators are never referred to as such, but as "Hunters", which is an intersting change and given that that was the original title of "Predator".... Anyhoo, my mom went to see it with me the second time and the thought it was "not bad... actually kinda good", which is saying a lot for a SF movie.
Word of caution to those damn people who badmouth movies that havent even come out (like this one): as we say in france, "if you can't write... you become a litterature professer". Think about it. I think the penguin could have kicked major Alien and Predator butt. Maybe he'll return in "Hey, Alien! Where's Predator's Car?"; the feel-good hit of the summer. This movie was by far a dissapointment. I had been watching the previews and it looked AMAZING ! But then it came out with a PG-13 rating, which totally killed any long fight scenes that would have made it a good movie like the originals were. The movie had a extremly predictable plot, I could have told you what was going to happen about half way into the movie. If you have seen the originals of either of these franchises, I am going to say you will be dissapointed. I think the movie should have been longer and the fight signs more detailed. The lady in the film is very hot for all the older Si-Fi geeks out there. But that ending, were do I start. The Predator can see if a man if dying, or see if a person is carrying an Alien inside them. And not know if one of there dead is carrying some thing, they have been doing this for hundreds of years and not be smart enough to scan any one coming back from a mission dead or alive. This movie was a F@%*$!@ disaster. I waited ten years for this crap. Its alien vs predator in the magic kingdom. The originals were rated R. Why not this one? The director should be working at burger king, not in hollywood. Anyone who liked this movie is either retarded or has never seen the originals. In closing, this movie made me want to vomit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd suggest staying home and masterbating. At least then you'd have somthing to show for it.

I WAS; however, impressed that they kept part of the theme between the Predator and the human forming an alliance.
I was not impressed by the "Jurassic Park" feel at the end when the Queen got loose.
But all in all, it was worth my money, I had been waiting for them to make this movie for the better part of 10 years. So all you people bitching about it, yeah, it had it's flaws, but all movies are like that, and Alien Ressurection was no better. Was this review helpful?
