Decent special effects, are wasted on what, quite possible, could have been the worst storyline I have ever witnissed. The only cool thing about this movie was the guy with the guns that pop out of his wrists....yah know, the scene where he shoots the officer guy...... well anyway you get the point this movie !ed! At the beginning opening credits, i knew it wasnt going to be good, and it all went downhill from there. i didnt like how ripley was in this movie being half alien and all. not to mention her hugging the alien as it carried her (wtf!!!). the room of all the ripley clones was extremely dumb and crappy, oh and not to mention the alien at the end of the movie. That white alien ruined everything for me. everything about this movie @ed. the only good thing was the CG aliens, and they werent that good either. terrible, i dont know why they would sell the quadriligy, i wouldnt even still make this movie. i give it one star because i cant give it anything lower. The first thing I said after I stepped out of the movie theatre. Being a huge Alien fan, I was a bitter person after seeing this movie. I loved Alien, I loved Aliens, I thought Alien 3 was good, but this was bad. Where do I start? The aliens first off looked terrible! Instead of being sleek and black, they looked like grey crickets. I like computer animated aliens, but not for 95% of the movie. Winona Ryder was tragically miscasted, rehearsing her parts like she was bored, and didn't want to be there in the first place. Third off it was 2 gory. I like gore, don't get me wrong! Gore in movies is a good thing. But it was way over done in this movie. I didn't know there was enough blood in a human eye socket to fill a hot tub! And finally the script was way too rushed, and poorly written. I could write a better script! No joke! You want an Alien 5. I'm the guy to speak with! Back on topic, the only reason I give it 2 stars, is because I feel like having pity on Jeunet and his atrocity Was this review helpful? Really nasty humans, and really bloodthirsty aliens (though they still seem to be getting smaller). Nice cinematography... the water scene is cool as the approach to Earth.
